I’ve applied for over a year and can never get an answer. I’ve waited for 6 hours on hold many times for my interview. And continue to get denied because they have poor customer service. This needs to change immediately. It’s so frustrating when I try my best to be patient and call on time and still get delayed. Also walks in aren’t acceptable anymore. They will just answer questions and not help. NEED TO HIRE MORE WORKERS OR MAKE CALL HOURS LONGER DO BETTER! šŸ˜‘ update I’ve called for a week straight from 8:30 and still on hold all the way until closing. I will get denied tomorrow. They still haven’t answered any of my emails. And I got denied have to wait weeks for a paper in the mail now. 😔

When I got my food stamps for the first time, it was smooth sailing. I was able to go to the processing center in person twice. It's pretty quick when you've already applied online and sent in the required documents. However, when it was time for a recertification, they asked me to reapply instead of doing a renewal of the benefits, which is weird. I was already receiving benefits because I applied and was approved. They also had everything they needed from me, so I couldn't understand why they wanted me to reapply. All they would have needed for a renewal is an update (if any) of income. I did what they asked of me and reapplied. No one ever got back to me. I waited 2 months and applied again. They sent in a letter a month later saying I'm not approved because of my income. I think 500 a month isn't a lot, but somehow they came up with a bogus number of 2,450 a month. I called and left voicemails and opted for a call back. Nothing. This time I applied again, got a letter in the mail saying I have a phone interview. I thought maybe someone would call me, but I called them. No answer. I also waited on the line for an hour, but I'm a mother of two toddlers, so I can't be on the phone that long. I left a voicemail. Waited and no one called me. I called again and waited. Still no answer. Opted for a call back. I left 4 voicemails and asked for 3 call backs. They finally called me back! I answered the phone. Once I said "Hello" they hung up on me! And today I just received a letter. Apparently I missed my phone interview. This place has done nothing but give me a whole lot of stress. Wish me luck the next time I try to apply.

So I've been trying to do my interview which was scheduled a week ago last Tuesday . . . Apparently they are so busy I've called everyday for more than a week and waited on hold for more than an hour each time, and than finally opt for the call back and never got a call back yet. I'm typing this while listening to their hold music . . .

I have never in my life had such an amazing experience at a DHS office. I arrived at 10:38 am, needing to see a worker because my case keeps getting paused and there were about 7 people in line in front of me. I had everything ironed out and was out the door at 11:02am!!!! Like WHAT?! I couldn't believe how quickly they get you taken care of here. Very, highly impressed.

It’s been almost two months im so freaking frustrated I called and leave a voicemail and phone call number back. I received a phone call back and she tells me I had to wait for a phone call back, so why are you calling me if you can’t help me. We are waiting on interviews. Not to give you information that YOU cannot already help us with when given information. What’s the point. They say call.. prompted to leave voicemail or call number back… then you leave them your number.. they call you.. they ask how can I help u… u give information… they say oh sorry unfortunately I cannot help you… like what?!!!!!!!!!!

The phones don’t work they schedule your appointment on a holiday but it’s your mistake they never call you anymore for an interview your best bet is to stand in line for 2hr at the office and watch how rude the security is to everyone except to the people who work in the building Note: don't come here during the lunch break it's another 35mins wait , and very low staff. Also, Come early before noon they close the line whenever they want to.
