Atmosphere – 3 stars
The bakeshop has a cozy, rustic vibe but feels a bit cramped, especially when it’s busy—which seems to be most of the time. There are a few tables available, but I found the seating uncomfortable and the cleanliness lacking. There were noticeable crumbs on both the floor and tables, which took away from the overall experience.

Service – 3 stars
It’s a walk-up counter style setup, and while the staff was polite and moved fairly efficiently, there wasn’t much in terms of personal engagement. I asked if they had white milk, and they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. After a bit of confusion, they finally figured out what I meant and told me I could get milk from the nearby coffee stand. Not rude, just a little unpolished.

Food – 4 stars
I got a ham and cheese sandwich that was pretty good—the bread was especially fresh. I also tried a chocolate chip cookie, which was really good. I added a blueberry crème cupcake to the mix—it was tasty, but a little hard to eat since it was chilled and the frosting was firm, almost brittle, and broke apart. Overall, the quality of the baked goods was solid, but the pricing felt a bit steep for what you get. Not sure if I’d go out of my way to return.

Really AMAZING bakery and staff! I had heard about this place for so long, but never made it downtown! Really great discovery! Wonderful array of food, pastries, fresh baked breads, soups and sandwiches. Their cakes are amazing, but with this silly economy the larger sized ones are wayyyyy overpriced. Definitely recommend going during the week days! Weekends are swamped!!!

Excellent bakery. Baked fresh there. Many bread and pastries options along with sandwiches. Breakfast is only pastries. Only serve drip coffee but the shop right behind it in the same K Market serves specialty coffees. It was very busy by 10am on a weekday

This is probably the most popular bakery in town!

The sandwiches and bread are delicious and made of high-quality ingredients.

It always seems like a line, but it moves fast.

I got the Pepper Focaccia and a danish, and rather enjoyed eating them next to each other. The focaccia was a rudimentary back woods breakfast on some bread, while the danish was a refined pastry that any bakery could be proud of. Although they were very different, both were good in their own way.

A delicious, cozy bakery with sweets, savory dishes and amazing sandwiches. I love bringing home a loaf of bread from here and I've never tried anything I didn't love. Great location next to That Feeling Co downtown with lots of natural light.

Great little shop for incredible breads and pastries. My husband opted for the Alaska berry scone which was huge and flavorful. I opted for a couple Parisian Macaroons. Once at room temperature, they were amazing!

Prompt service and an incredible staff making everything right there!!

We visited this place on our way to Seward and what a great place discovered. Here is the summary of our experience at this bakery heaven:

1. Ambiance 5/5: This place was brimming with people and you can clearly see employees baking hundreds of fresh breads, scones, and everything drool-worthy. The place has a great vibe and was very busy

2. Service 5/5: Even though the place was crowded and superbusy , the counter person was friendly and the service was fast.

3. Food 5/5: We ordered a lot of food and bread - some of which I do not remember now but one thing is for sure - if you are looking for freshly baked items with great and unforgettable taste, then this is the place to be in. For breakfast we ordered,

a) Breakfast (yes it is called breakfast): It is good for 1 person but insufficient if you are very hungry.

b) Chicken Ceaser: It's a cold wrap that is delicious and good enough for one person.

c) Different types of bread: We ordered a couple of big loaves of bread and finished within minutes

4) Value for Money 5/5: Although some might say it is costly but when you take into account the freshness and taste, this is a complete value for money and a breakfast that you will remember.

Overall. If you are ever visiting Anchorage, this place should definitely be at the top of your list for breakfast. A must-visit for everyone

The Good:

1) Everything - the baked items, the coffee, and the breakfast was delicious

Not so good:

1) Parking in front is limited and is not free in any place nearby
