I have crazy food allergies and I rely completely and totally on FL Fresh Meat's products. They don't use commercial brine/salt in the packing of their meats which contains corn starch. When you buy chicken legs and thighs from the grocery store, it's dark meat - when you buy chicken from Florida Fresh Meat Company the legs and thighs are white meat because they're raised free range. Orders can be delivered and they are fantastic and always accurate. The new owner Mike is the man with a plan to vertically integrate.

I ordered 4 1# Filet Mignons for my brothers 71st birthday celebration while they were visiting here from Denver Colorado. They were the nicest looking steaks I have ever seen and they were had great flavor and were extremely tender. It was a fabulous dinner. Thanks for the great steaks, I will be back again.

I bought sirloin when they were at the farmers market in Spring Hill, as I wanted it buy local. Even after using a tenderizer, the meat was very tough. Now, yes I know sirloin is a tougher meat, but I always get sirloin at the local Murphys Market and it’s never tough. I won’t buy from Florida Fresh again

Since it has changed hands this place has gone way down hill. Literally from one year to the next. We had our Southeastern Youth fair purchases processed here in consecutive years. What a difference a year, and ownership, makes.
First year old owners: no problems.
Second year new owners: awful. Meat still had hair on it. Most of the cuts we requested wound up just being ground up. Because we couldn't find a different processor we decided we would buy an animal. Very sad because the Youth Fair really helps a lot of kids.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered 4 lbs of gator meat for a party in September and it was never delivered. They never notified me they weren't completing the order and to this day have not refunded me. I have spoken to them 5 times and emailed several times (with no response to the email). They said they were going to credit me back because they acknowledged they did not send the order and then never did. They then said they would try again and still have not and now they do not answer their phone and their voicemailbox is full. I have waited and waited after each call because they are a small business and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but will be reporting them to the better business bureau. Terrible.

I live locally and buy directly from the butcher . Very fresh meat , eggs , pork and turkey. I also may ad that Walmart's meat and dairy are factory farmed and not humanely terminated which is why they are so cheap . If you want to be healthy and reduce your carbon footprint then this wins hands down and you are supporting local farmers . I noticed that most of the complaints are from customers who requested their products shipped so my guess is this is problematic. With new ownership I think there are some transitional hiccups.

This place is terrible! Place a ($300) order about a month ago. Didn't received any type of notification from them, just took my money. So after 3 weeks of not receiving a email or phone call, I called and asked for a refund. They said the money should be there within 48 hours. Guess what ...... They sent me a FAKE refund email. After 7 days I contacted PayPal for the refund and they said " We never received a refund from Florida fresh meat" .? Im not the type of person to write a review but I had too.

There is no getting a hold of anyone from the company. The voicemail box is full. When you place an order, good luck getting shipment information or getting anything shipped and good luck getting a refund. Placed an order May 22, never got shipment confirmation. My husband finally got a hold of the company to find out we wouldn't get what we ordered in time because it wasn't in Stock. Then I finally got a return phone call from them after hounding their Facebook page and we were promised a refund. Now it's June 4 and I have no gator ribs, and no refund. Of course, the voicemail box is still full for the main company phone number. Starting to sound like a scam to me.

Edit to add that they finally called me on June 14 after I commented on their Facebook page about not being able to get a hold of them. They finally pushed out the refund I have been waiting for. Still disappointed but at least the issue is resolved. There would be so many less problems if they had a phone number in which someone would answer.
