Stopped in for the Poke and wow, it was fresh and excellent! So many choices. I'd heard how a number of the grocery stores have poke that's as good or even better than many of the restaurants for half the price. It lived up to those expectations!

Confusing and Unreasonable ID Policy

I tried purchasing beer with my Hawaiian driver’s license, which states “not for federal purposes.” Despite clearly showing my age, it was rejected. I then showed an international driver’s license—also valid and displaying my age—but that wasn’t accepted either.

Both IDs are legitimate and widely recognized. If I can pass through airport security with them, why not a grocery store? The staff couldn’t explain the reason for this policy, which only added to the confusion. Ironically, my friend ended up showing her ID, and I bought the beer anyway. The whole process felt pointless and unnecessarily difficult.

This is THE hangout spot. Need groceries? Head to Foodland. Craving a quick snack? Go to Foodland. Wanna find a hot surfer boyfriend? Go to Foodland. Looking to run into a semi famous instagram model? Go to Foodland. The possibilities are endless. I also highly recommend the orange chicken and the Brown Sugar Latte from The Coffee Bean. At the end of your trip the parking lot is the perfect spot to post up and chill. Have fun my friends 🤙🏼

Whilst on vacation in North Shore popped in here to grab some quick items. Not overly priced. Cute Hawaiian-made things as well. Along with fresh produce and nice reusable-bags for sale. There’s also a coffee shop nearby if you’re waiting for them to open at 6 AM like I was today. Rock on.
