Fort Nonsense Brewing Company in Denville is a really cool spot—about 15 minutes from Morristown, and well worth the short drive. It’s got a fun mix of traditional brewery vibes with a touch of colonial coziness, which makes for a unique and welcoming atmosphere.

The bartenders were friendly and attentive, and the beer was solid across the board. I especially enjoyed the Nonsense Light and their lemonade/grenadine sour, which was super refreshing and just the right amount of tart.

They host tons of events and themed nights—definitely worth checking out their IG for what’s coming up. I’m looking forward to heading back in the warmer months to enjoy the space even more. A great local brewery that’s doing it right!

Cozy brewery in Randolph. We loved their flights with spiked seltzers. They dont have food but food trucks can be outside sometimes. They also have live music!

7/27/24 found this place on G Maps.
A very cool spot with some really great beers! Lots of sours, so if that's your thing, you need to come here!
Friendly staff that are happy to give samples and help with your selection of beers. I had the Porter (really great) and the Berry sour (a nice easy sour).
We went to the Gyro King for take-out and ate it here, a good move!
They do have a nice selection of reasonably priced pretzels in bags for sale too.
We will definitely be back!

Happened upon this brewery on my way to a floor store in Rockaway. Glad I dropped by, as this brewery offers 4 distinct IPAs and a variety of other beers, seltzers and sours.

Looks like it offers plenty of games and entertainment for the whole family as well as a large private room for special affairs. 🍻

We were fortunate enough to host our sister’s baby shower last month at the brewery and it was fantastic! Great space, awesome beer and service, and excellent communication with Emily, the event coordinator. Such a friendly and helpful group of owners/staff - we look forward to having more events here and visiting for a quick visit and beer!

The Fort has been a staple of the community for years! And their new space just got even better with the introduction of their "Barrel Room" for private parties.

Fortnonsense produces a huge variety of beers and has several different styles on tap daily. Our two favorites this time of year are the Cellarman Sea Shandy and the In Full Effect hazy IPA. These beers are perfect for sipping in their biergarten on those sunny days. During the colder months, the Arnold's Tavern Porter or any of their darker beers will also hit the spot.

The Fort also hosts tons of events, food trucks, and live music, so be sure to visit their Instagram page for info!

They have a great variety of beers. And they are very unique as well. I have driven on 10 hundreds of times and never noticed it so it isn't the easiest to notice due to trees. The tables and big picture give it a cool feel. However I think the lighting should be filled or dimmed a bit. Felt like a "last call" at a bar lighting. I really liked being able to see the beer making process right next to us. But could be better if there was some type of barrier, even if it's a sheer curtain, to separate the spaces more. And not make it as bright. Great new place.

Attended the grand opening which was quite crowded. It was a two hour wait in line to be served but the weather was nice and so were the others on line. Six beers were on tap, with a food truck in the parking lot for this special event.

The taproom has a fair sized seating area with tables that will be good for bringing in a pizza or other food from outside while you enjoy their beer.

On tap for the grand opening they had an amber, IPA, saison, porter, coffee flavored porter, and they also passed their amber through a randall filled with fruit.

The IPA was my favorite, with a good balance of malt and hops, not overdone with hops like is common with craft IPAs these days.

The amber was good, but I would have liked a little more copper malt to boost up the maltiness a bit. Similar opinion with the porters, I like an almost syrupy porter, so would have liked more malt in each. Otherwise they were well balanced.

I definitely will be a regular customer and look forward to seeing how the beer list and recipes evolve over time.

Update Feb. 2022 - Attended the anniversary in the new larger location in Randolph and added a picture. A lot more seating and a lot more taps allowing for a larger selection of brews usually.

Update Apr. 2022 - Grab the Brown Ale and support Ukraine. A portion of the sales go to Ukraine charities.

Update Mar. 1 2024 - The new Barrel Room is a great addition to the brewery with a private space for up to 70 guests.
