National Trust has some really beautiful places, and this is defenetly one that is away up there! Lovely walks for all levels of fitness, lots for children and adults alike.
Cafe is defenetly worth a visit, and you must try the ice cream for the ice cream van that sits next to the cafe.

Their is a book hut that holds books that people have donated, and you can buy them, as well as a vegetable stall that you can purchase fresh vegetables.

Really recommend this place, dig friendly.

Keep an eye out for the friendly Robin ?

Beautiful day out with lots of scenic walks and a lovely play park for the kids. Also plenty of vegan options which was a pleasant surprise (we got two types of ice cream and a freshly cooked wood fired pizza with vegan cheese)

It has a very beautiful nature and atmosphere. It's not too far from the city center. The surroundings are very tidy and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a place in nature where you can spend a nice day with your family. There is free car parking and there is a lot of it. There are cafes for eating and drinking. There is a bookstore. There are tables where you can have a picnic. What I will say is that the toilets were not clean and the changing room was disappointing

Gibside boasts both historic ruins and space for roaming, which is dog friendly, including kids' play area, cafe with outdoor seating, and toilets. There are four marked walks to choose from, with each taking you on a different route around the 18th-century landscape garden.
