Dealt with an old man who was unknowledgeable about his inventory, surly and defensive. I searched Amazon for a large ice cream scoop first and was discouraged from purchasing one because of comments about them breaking quickly. I have had good experiences with restaurant supply stores in the past so decided to try this store hoping they would offer superior quality products. When I asked for an opinion on the quality between two different scoops, he acted like it was unreasonable for him to know about his own products. I then asked what their return policy was in case it broke once I used it. He said he would replace it which would be unhelpful if the problem is the product itself. I said I needed to think about it and then he barked at me to return the items back where I found them. If your business model is to intimidate your customers and be rude and unhelpful, then this guy has a sound plan. I will never go back there again.

We love this place. Jennifer is available & very helpful. If you can't get in there that day, she'll look at their inventory to see if they have what you need, and put it on hold for you. She knows the business very well & what they stock, so she can describe things perfectly. They often have used equipment which provides restaurants on a tight budget with very affordable options. They also have a little bit of EVERYTHING !! This is our "Go To Place" in Santa Cruz.
