What a perfectly beautiful piece of farmland paradise. We caught the maple tree in its full brilliance in late October. We came to the PRV area to hike the Walls of Jericho but we also visited Graham Farm, Roy B Whitaker Paint Rock Preserve, and Bethel Spring nature preserve. Honestly, our favorite spot was Graham Farm and Bethel springs. Graham Farm is really a hidden gem! I'm not sure if the farmhouse is open to visitors as a museum; it seemed the interior was closed on a monday morning and also on saturday morning when we first visited.

The loop uphill to the overlook was a bit steeper than described but doable. We had a hard time figuring out the yellow & purple trails as well based on the maps on site, but we just wandered happily. Got to pet the grey striped cat too, so it was honestly a great visit both times 🙂

Small but beautiful piece of property that was once a working farm. Now owned by Auburn University, it has trails with access to a small creek, a building with rustic meeting rooms, beautiful views of Alabama's rolling hills and a very rural setting. Interesting location for bird watching as well as just getting back to nature. Loggerhead Shrikes were easy to spot in the summer. A small bird feeder brought in lots of the usual suspects. Scissor-tailed Flycatchers are not far away, so could be at this location as well.
