Needs to utilize funding better. They are granted so much money through different grants and they do not do a good job of connecting to community, to creating sustainable programming for the city. They don’t train their employees or interns properly to set them up for longevity and success. They need to do better and invest in the community more.

I'm extremely disappointed in this orgs lack of meaningful engagement and impact in the community it claims to serve. As a non-profit organization, I expect more initiative to provide accessible resources, support, and opportunities for underserved populations.

Unfortunately, they have consistently failed to meet these expectations. Despite receiving funding and resources, they have not delivered tangible benefits to our community. Their programs seem more focused on serving the interests of their own institution rather than truly empowering local residents.

It's vital that organizations like this recognize their responsibility to the community and prioritize:

· Accessible programs and resources
· Authentic community engagement
· Cultural sensitivity and representation
· Tangible impact and accountability

Until they demonstrates a genuine commitment to our community's needs through collaborations and other initiatives , I cannot recommend their services or support their mission.

Beautiful outdoor garden open to the public. Met Keith the gardener, very friendly. Good information boards scattered around. Even 3 chickens! Great learning space for kids.

The Greater Newark Conservancy is a group of poverty pimps run by outsiders with no real ties to the local community or desire to make a real impact. As years have passed the educational programming has declined which is unacceptable in a city where our enrichment and out-of-school learning opportunities are vital. GNC has quietly exploited the children and families of Newark for decades.

- 80% of staff does not live in the city which they serve

- 90% of staff do not relate to the constituent base demographically. (Race, class, education). Of that 90% of staff over half work remotely, are never seen, and unresponsive by email.

- The facility is poorly maintained and running under capacity despite having funding available.

- GNC is lying about how many people they feed/help and grant funding is only to pay their salaries and benefits, with 0% commitment to the wellbeing of Newark residents

Place just dosen't seem organized also feels like just another way for some people that's not from the City to have a opportunity to steal money with out giving back. Really wonder who chose to put certain people in charge. Wouldn't be the first time our City was allowed to be scammed
