What a enjoyable time we had at Green Bird! I place high value on organic foods and sustainable farming so when I saw this winery on the map on the way to the lighthouse in Northport, I knew we had to stop. There were 4 adults and 2 kids in our group and we all had something we enjoyed. The kids we able to feed the chickens and sheep and play on the tractor while the adults had a delightful cheese board and a drink. The cider and sangria were excellent! They also offered kid friendly snacks, and moms know this means a lot! The grounds were so beautiful and quiet. We left with a few bag fulls of goodies too. Tim, the owner, was so personable and treated us like old friends. We are so glad we stopped!

This place was unbelievably phenomenal. Beautiful, peaceful grounds. It's everything you want in a vineyard/farm. The property if fully organic which in turn provides amazing wines. All wines are very smooth and easy to drink and the flavors are above par. Tim & Betsy's hard work and love for their land shows in anything you purchase from their tasting room. We didn't want to leave! However that just means we will be back.

This was our last stop of the day and we arrived 15 minutes before they closed. The owner was behind the bar and treated us like we were friends and seemed genuinely interested in talking to us. We ended up leaving with a couple bottles of their amazing empire cider. We'll be back in the future to do a tour. Don't miss out on this gem!

Great winery. Betsy was wonderful. Top quality wines. We visit TC once/year. This was our 1st visit to Green Bird. We'll be back, EVERY year forever more! Do not miss this place!! (and thanks to you, our backyard patio is now complete!)

The Traminette Vignoles is probably the best white wine I’ve ever had. It’s incredibly unique and surprising. Having tasted the best of Tuscany and Napa Valley, I can confidently say that this wine is the champion. Pure Michigan, baby! Also, they’re organic…BONUS.

100% would recommend Green Bird! Tim and Betsy have put so much love into their farm! The wine, cider and sangria are all amazing, staff is so friendly and happy to be there. A very comfortable and warm experience 🙂

Cute organic farm and winery. George was a great conversationalist and conservator of the Leelanau area. The ciders were amazing! We tried three and took two bottles to go. We will be back!

I need to comment on the previous comment regarding prices - there is absolutely pricing on the entire menu. There is no way to miss it.
This is by far, hands down the best winery on the peninsula. We got here not long before closing, so we meant to make the trip quick to not cause the employees to stay later than they should. Everyone working, as well as the owners, were so welcoming and friendly.

Demand prices. I asked for prices several times. couldn't get an answer until he rang us up. my friend and I each sampled three wines. Next thing I know we each got a bill for $18. Six of those together Wouldn’t make a glass of wine. It was ridiculous.I’m not sure why they have a free tasting sign outside. My friend and I were indecisive what we wanted to order for a glass of wine. So he told us to try a couple I spent over $60 and walked out with a little thing of lavender beer.
