And the quality of the work was fantastic - they were on time, did a difficult job with careful precision and an eye for detail. The job required them to move materials back and forth through the house....they left the house cleaner than they found it! Nick & his team designed our backyard for us in Downtown Jersey City from something which was non functional to a beautiful, child and pet friendly place. He was very proactive right from the first correspondence and paid attention to all details. His team was very courteous of our space and always treated it with respect and care. The entire work was carried out by them walking through the house but they left no damage. He always kept our budget constraints in mind while designing the space and was never pushy. The project consisted of hauling tons of dirt, mud and paver materials outside and bringing in new pavers, turf, laying out plants and planters. They installed a beautiful fountain for the space too.
I highly recommend Greencity design for all your landscaping needs.

Our backyard design wasn’t overly complex but Nick was able to put together a design that captured all of the elements that we were looking for. He was accessible, communicative and has an acute attention to detail. The precision was impressive. In terms of install, the guys were fantastic. It’s tough to find companies that take pride in the quality of their work, and I can say with absolute certainty that the crew was second to none in terms of quality, attention to detail, and work ethic. Nick went above and beyond in designing a unique layout for my backyard in a modern-boho style. He offered valuable ideas to enhance my vision and it turned out extremely professional looking, while maintaining the bohemian feel I wanted.

We added different features including a deck, fence, dog-friendly turf area, an archway, a stone pathway and patio area patio area, etc. I’m impressed with his knowledge and ability to guide me through the process without confusion.

I work from home and have pets, so sharing our space could have been very stressful, but the crew was respectful of my apartment. It allowed me to see just how intensive the project was- and why I definitely could not DIY anything like it. They are true professionals with impeccable skills. I am thankful I chose them as my landscaping company!

Nick and his team did an excellent job of transforming our unfinished backyard into a space that is calming, comfortable, and low maintenance. Nick was able to match and extend our existing patio to better utilize our space. His team installed artificial turf that is high quality and safe for my toddler to play on. They planted a beautiful array of flowers, grasses, and bushes with my existing plants mixed in. They installed an irrigation system and topped the flower beds with mixed river rock that is not only visually pleasing but also functions to keep the soil in place. Nick’s finishing touch was the placement of a gorgeous Japanese Maple that brings the entire space together. I highly recommend Green City Design to anyone interested in revamping an outdoor space.
