While cycling on the D&R canal I decided to check out griggstown and saw this. Decided to visit and explore the options on offer. I ended up taking some mozzarella cheese, fig jam and chip cookies (nice sale). The cookie was nice but I had just one and it was chewy. The shop had a mix of premade food up for grabs alongside produce and condiments. Quite possibly the worst pie I’ve ever had the misfortune to put in my mouth. The crust is not only under baked and hard as a rock, but when we were trying to cut the pie, the knife was not going through the crust. We thought perhaps there was a something left in there, so we began scooping out the filling with a spoon. It is quite a shallow pie dish anyway, but as you can see, virtually half the pie is full of crust, and full on raw flour. Those crust patches are 2 inches high. We also tasted the filling and it is utterly tasteless. It doesn’t even taste like corn syrup. It taste like metallic nothingness. The quality of this pie is shocking. It is a disgrace. I’d heard this was a good place for pies, but I will never go back. If I lived closer, I would go over there tomorrow, as it is, I live over an hour away and made a special trip over there when I was in Princeton on Friday. I’m appalled that something like this was actually sold to the public.

Our St Augustine Church held a fundraiser to benefit their school. I purchased a turkey pot pie- an apple pie- a cherry pie! The items come frozen. We cooked the apple pie today. The crust was homemade and absolutely delicious! The pie was not too sweet! Wow! I was very impressed with the superior quality from Griggstown Farms! We also baked the turkey pot pie as indicated per their instructions! We felt it was amazing! We will definitely purchase from Griggstown Farms again! Just love them!

We bought delicious apple juice (called cider), pickles, excellent milk, vegetables and a delicious beef shepherd’s pie from this market. The glass bottle can be returned. Very cute shop.

I buy the poussins through Philly Foodworks and I’m completely hooked. They’re the most delicious, tender little birds. I love roasting one for dinner and using the leftover meat for a sandwich and the bones for a wonderfully flavorful broth. You can’t go wrong with these.

We recently purchased one of there pot pies from a school fundraiser. It is was the worst pot pie we have ever had. It was definitely a waste of money.
