The main problem with Gypsea Gelato is that all other gelato or ice cream parlors you visit will pale in comparison.

Immediately after leaving I checked their hours for tomorrow. I’m having gelato for breakfast.

Excellent Gelato - we sampled several - and those plus what we got, the advertised flavors were right there! Didn't need to go searching for the ginger, or the lemon grass or the orange.
They have numerous serving sizes to fit whatever your appetite is - we just wanted a little snack to get us to dinner and the 'mini sugar cone' was perfect!

Really yummy gelato with a big variety of flavors. There’s a big parking lot on the side and lot of space inside and out to enjoy your cold treat. The young man was patient with my kids and generous with his scoops and sprinkles. There’s a backyard with some games and greenery and the indoor space is vast and cool with its high ceilings and jamming music. Plenty of tables (even little ones for the kids!) and there’s a big wooden boat in the middle for kids to play on. There’s even a bathroom with a little toilet and sink for smaller bodies! Service is friendly and personable so there may be a little wait since there’s usually just one worker, but the wait is worth it because the gelato itself is so good!

Sooooo yummy! And such a fun place for the kiddos too. They have some games and areas for kids to play. Gelato is amazing. We had a big group, so we were able to try many flavors. I don’t know how to choose a favorite since they were all very good—toasted coconut is definitely high on the list and a must try.

Good stop to take a break on Hawaii Belt Road. Friendly and welcoming for both adults and kids. Plenty of parking. There’s even a spotless bathroom for you to use if needed. The gelato is made locally so you know it’s fresh. Of course, not as tasty as the gelato in Italy, it’s not bad for the Big Island.

This place is straight 🔥 do NOT MISS! I had high expectations going into Gypsea since I had seen good reviews before arriving and it did not disappoint. Wow so many flavors to choose from and Thom Kha as a flavor. Mind was 🤯 blown.

Wound up going with the Lilikoi and Dragonfruit banana which were both amazing. Everything was super flavorful and I appreciate that they encourage you to split flavors with all sizes. Inside of the building is roomy and spacious. Will definitely be paying them another visit during my time here!

We stumbled upon this place and are happy we did! The gelato is amazing and they have really fun flavors that seem to rotate often. We loved it so much we went back multiple times during our trip. We loved the toasted coconut haystack and tom kah (very unique) - a must try!
