Had a delicious and visually appealing lunch on Super Bowl Sunday. Attentive wait staff and friendly hostess. Offered a few non-alcoholic craft cocktails which was a big plus for us.

We had lunch at Hali‘imaile General Store, and it was fantastic! Don’t let the name fool you—while it used to be the general store back in the heyday of the surrounding pineapple plantations, it’s now a wonderful restaurant.

My husband ordered the fish and chips, and they were absolutely incredible! I had the Ahi Poké bowl, which was hands-down the best one I’ve had on Maui so far. Everything on the menu looked so good that it was hard to decide what to order.

Our waitress, Heather, was extremely nice and super helpful, making the experience even better. If you’re in the area and looking for a nice sit-down meal, I’d definitely recommend stopping here. It’s well worth it!

I had no general idea what was in store for us, but I am glad we stopped by for dinner. My gf and I ordered the crab pizza, which was super yummy. As well as the Korean short rib and shrimp pasta. The rib was tender and flavorful. And the shrimp were massive and buttery. The staff was nice and the food was made quick. Would recommend giving them a try.

Such a great restaurant and delicious food! We ate here before our tour at Maui Gold Pineapple and the HGS Teriyaki Burger was amazing!!

After taking the gold pineapple tour. We went right across the street to the general store. This is a silly name as actually it's a very nice restaurant. I have the teriyaki burger and my wife had the chicken sandwich. Both were fantastic and we were very pleased with their fries. I will say we did get a piece of pineapple upside down cake, however it was much too sweet for our liking. Service was great.

We had such a delightful experience during our lunch stop on Maui! The breathtaking scenery in the Up country area truly captured our hearts. The food was wonderful, and the service was exceptional, making us feel so welcomed. We’re already looking forward to returning for another lovely lunch and visit. It was a highlight of our trip!

Staff are hard working and friendly. We had lunch there and enjoyed the fish and chips, teriyaki burger, and poke bowl. Came back later for desert and it was so worth it! The pineapple turnover cake was unbelievably yummy, and the banana cheese cake is now a favourite.
