Hana Gold Chocolate Plantation Store is a must stop on the Road to Hana! This is authentic chocolate making at its finest. You travel up a longish driveway, lined with cacao trees, to this little shop. Aldon, the owner, came out to greet us. So this family run business is so sweet. Their land is covered with cacao trees, which they use to make their chocolate. Aldon explained the entire process of harvesting the fruit to making it into chocolate in this little room. They use the entire fruit to make even jelly from the pulp. You will find so many neat treasures to buy. We got chocolate bars, candied cacao beans, and this incredibly tasting fruit jelly. This unique family run business is what we were hoping to find on our travels. Please check this small local business out!

I travel the world and have had fresh chocolate directly from the biggest brands and the proudest boutiques in Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and other world renowned chocolate producing countries and the homemade chocolate from Hana Gold is the BEST of them all. You must stop and load up!!!! My family and I pulled in as a novelty stop and purchased a few of their homemade bars and thoroughly enjoyed the visit (the staff was uber friendly!!). We got back on the road to Hana and decided to open one of the bars we had purchased just to have a taste......which led to opening another bar.....which led to eating them all!! We stopped AGAIN the same day on our way back to Lahaina and bought 4x as many as we did the first visit so we could share with our friends back home and have a few more to enjoy ourselves!

It’s a must stop place on the Road to Hana drive. They have a huge cacao plantation and make the chocolates at the location. We tried the Milk Chocolate with Macadamia Nuts and the taste was really great. They have many other flavors as well.

Quaint little place on the road to Hana. We stopped off for some chocolate and a story. We bought some cute gifts for family back home. Nice to get something besides ABC gifts for a change (still love ABC though!)

Small, family-run cacao plantation along the Road to Hana. You enter by driving up a long driveway past a residential house.

When we visited, there were no tours - the owner came out, gave a quick 2 minute spiel about the cacao harvesting process, then waited around while we perused their small, outdoor shop. Their storefront sells a handful of unique items made from cacao including chocolate bars, candies, teas, candles, lip balms, and more.

There wasn't much to see apart from their tiny storefront, and I felt obligated to make a purchase. Wish I could've seen and learned more.

We visited Aldon at Hana Gold Farm on the Road to Hana on Maui. They do it all from growing the Caco, harvest, and processing many different varieties of chocolate products. It’s so fresh that some of our favorites were prepared as we waited. You can tell Aldon’s deep love for their products, and it shows

We had no idea about this plantation until we stumbled upon it on our way to Hana, the sign on by the road. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by to experience this unique plantation. The people running this small company are very humble and treat their products with extreme pride and care. They not only sell amazing chocolate (and I mean the best I’ve ever had), but also chocolate tea, candles that smell absolutely amazing, lotions, and jelly. The use all the parts of the cacao pods in these products. If you are ever on the road to Hana in Maui, make a point to stop by! You will not regret it!

Must stop! Right off the main road. They offer free parking and an interactive experience. From the shop you can see and smell the chocolate being made. They have photos of the process. The staff is friendly and willing to discuss their family operations.

For sale they have a variety of chocolate bars and merchandise. About 10’ from the store you can see cacao growing on the trees. Cool experience!
