This will go down as probably the worst wine tasting experience we have ever had! The server, Theresa, made us feel like we were wasting her time. The pours were so ridiculously small, it was hard to taste anything at all. Just to clarify, this was in the tasting room, not the vineyard.
Fortunately we went to another tasting right after that and had a wonderful experience!

Great atmosphere, great wine, great staff. Came on a Saturday afternoon, we were seated and served right away. Shoutout to Sam for being knowledgeable on the wine selection and super friendly. Will absolutely be back when I’m in Santa Barbara again!

The server literally made a mistake & used my card to pay for another customer's tap and when I noticed it, within minutes, I called the store and he admitted he made a mistake BUT told me that I need to find the other customer & have them either Venmo me or come back to the store & pay!!!!

Decent wine, but stingy pours when their flights are already a bit more than competitors, and we bought 2 bottles to get one of our tastings complimentary and they gave us the cheaper one free which is a bit tacky.

We love, love, love Happy Canyon!! Staff is ALWAYS so friendly and kind. Aaron is the BEST!! We sat outside and enjoyed a small breeze and wine.

Happy Canyon AVA produces some epic Bordeaux wines from the Santa Barbara region. This place missed the whole point. Everything is a blend and they don’t produce single varietal wines. Is this to hide the imperfections in the wines? Unsure. You’ve got incredible vintners in the area who I’d rather support. The tasting room in downtown Santa Barbara was a disappointment, the manager there seemed bored and has a condescending personality. This place keeps going downhill, we’ve been coming here for years and the turnover of employees speaks volumes on the ownership.

This place was recommended to us by our wedding planner. Incredible red varieties all inspired by French Bordeaux’s. The “Blanc” is an amazing blend for those who don’t normally love the tart, fruitiness of white wines. And their Merlot is spectacular. Def worth the visit. A+ service and bonus tastings as well if you talk up the winemakers.

Shared a bottle of 2014 Piocho red blend over dinner last night. Bordeaux in style but a tad more fruit forward. Still drinking very well with 7 years bottle age. Great pairing with BBQ NY steak! Can't wait to get back up to SB
