I met Samantha Harper at our local community garden club and quickly learned she had a wealth of information on both indoor houseplants and outdoor gardening. I'm a recent transplant from the north and have experience with loamy soil but red clay - OMG, what a shocker.
My front garden needed an overhaul and I requested a Harper Botanical consultation and garden design. I was pleased that Samantha took into consideration my ideas and need for a low maintenance plan. She delivered a beautiful and interesting design and comprehensive planting plan - within a couple of days!
We also did a walk through my home and she evaluated all of my houseplants and made very good suggestions.
I highly recommend Harper Botanical!

Hiring Samantha was the best decision. I love gardening, but don't know much about plants. I just love planting and watching things grow. Samantha came in and took detailed measurements of my yard and listened to what I wanted my garden to look like. She then rendered detail drawings with recommended plants, both native and non-native. Gardening can be very costly upfront, so I'm enjoying buying several plants of my list as my budget allows and then using my garden guide to know exactly where to plant them. Samantha has been very responsive with followup questions and letting me know good substitutions if I can't find a specific plant. In a few months I will finally have the garden I have always dreamed of and I'm so excited to watch it grow!

Samantha is a landscaping and gardening genius. She took pictures of what I had in my yard, and after conversation about what I needed/wanted, sent me a design concept I can def get behind. She and I are both fans of native plants, so she gave me all of those options to tie in with what I currently have, for a layout that’s both visually pleasing AND a pollinators dream! ? I even have plants in the mix that’ll attract and feed my hummingbirds! I cannot WAIT for the plants she suggested to come into our nurseries. In the meantime, I’ve got detailed instructions on how to prep my beds, get rid of my recurrent problem weeds, and how and when to prune back my shrubs. So while it’s not *quite* planting season, I feel so informed and ? ready for the upcoming season. Lots of work to do before plants go in the ground so I’ve already started! Thanks, Samantha, for your time, knowledge, and suggestions! Without knowing what I know now, I would have been so behind. Yard of the month here I come!
