Tried to get a permit to do some hiking and it took 3 days for them to reply to my email. The link they sent me to fill out the permit doesn't work. Everything in Laie is Mormon owned so wouldn't recommend supporting this organization anyway.

Unfriendly and unhelpful process all around. Attempted to get a permit for one of the hikes in the area and it wasn't practical at all. Website doesn't allow for it, and they don't accept walk-ins. They also keep the doors locked so you can't simply show up to ask some questions, but are instead redirected to try and get them on the phone which also did not go well. Very disappointed.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I feel like I have to for this one. HRI is a SCAM! They charge ridiculous fees for absolutely everything. I was a full time student and employee (so I was never home) and yet I still got charged for going over on my electricity. I also brought my own plates, bowls, etc. and never once used theirs and got charged a tremendous fee to replace their so-called "missing" bowls. Keep in mind, these bowls were plastic, therefore, shouldn't cost so much. They make you deep clean the house even though they already have a cleaning crew scheduled and they charge you a LARGE cleaning fee for the crew but the house is not even clean upon arrival! Don't expect your security deposit back because you won't get it, and if you do, it's about 1/4 of what you put down. Absolutely horrible experience. Would NOT recommend using this company to ANYONE.
