Heavenly in Hawaii Kai has quickly become our go-to spot for date nights, especially when we want to skip the drive into town. Just minutes from home, it offers the perfect mix of convenience and charm. The restaurant has so much character, and the atmosphere always makes for a special experience. I’ve only been for lunch and dinner so far, but I’m excited to try their happy hour menu next! The food is always fresh and flavorful, and if you’re a fan of calamari, you absolutely have to try it—crispy, tender, and delicious. Plus, they had live music during dinner, which added a wonderful touch to the evening. Highly recommend this gem for a cozy meal close to home!

Not enough good I can say in one review, so here’s the thesis: The vibes match the food, the food matches the vibes, and the experience is relaxing and delicious.
I’d fly all the way from the US again just to come here. I swear they’ve got an undercover pro chef in the back, because the way the dishes taste had me fighting back emotions and memories from like 15 years ago. It takes special food to do that, and they do it really well.
So here’s a tearful and thankful recommendation to everyone: go here, be happy and enjoy what the chef has done here.

Excellent experience here, particularly if you sit by the open windows overlooking the water. It’s designed as a comfy welcoming space with multiple couches and small tables with cushy chairs, and the vibe is so refreshing and relaxing, we loved it just for this atmosphere. But then the food was good too, we got the Japanese Bacon & Mushroom spaghetti. It was al dente, smooth & buttery and the mushrooms with nori made it taste so good.

We had double chocolate dessert and afogado, they were good.

Note: the meal portions for the spaghetti were on the small side but the desserts were large!! Just be prepared if you order dessert, it’s a lot!

in a nutshell i would say it's good but not great. the food is on the pricier side considering the portions are relatively moderate, and there's often a wait so it's best to make a reservation in advance. nice vibes if that's what you're going for! i ordered the pesto and enjoyed it except for the addition of macadamia nuts (personal preference, it adds a richness to the pesto that I just wasn't a fan of.) keep in mind it only comes with two shrimp. I would come back just to try their other pastas since I feel that they are reasonably priced.

For dessert, I ordered the cheesecake, which was more dense rather than fluffy. I found the topping rather dry (and a little stale?) And it is also very peanut heavy! For these reasons I wasn't too crazy about it and felt like my $10 could have been better spent elsewhere for something sweet 😉

Overall, the food and customer service were excellent. They can recommend dishes if you’re unsure what to order. The matcha tiramisu dessert was absolutely amazing, especially considering I’m not typically a fan of matcha. I’ll always visit this restaurant again if I walk by.

My place 🧘🏽. This is what everyone needs. Loved! Taking some decoration ideas for my home. Food, oh God! I get Fish sliders, Frensh toast, wedge and guacamole. Me n My hubby loves those Margaritas. Cheesecake Lemon Tart, who is making all of these is Beautiful & delicious. Need to go for breakfast, we went for 2pm is happy hour so menu is different bit also delicious.
We will be back! 😁

For the price, the food is good, not great, with very few vegetarian options for lunch and dinner. The ambiance is warm and airy, and the ingredients feel quality and fresh. Great fries!

Food and food selection was very good including vegetarian options! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 We both had the Flat Omelet which included mushrooms, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and salad (with a yummy dressing!!!) Though it’s a “pretty” atmosphere, the couches and soft chairs are not the best for eating off their tables. Not too comfortable. For us, we would definitely eat there again, but depending on the company, not sure we would invite others here, unless we could be guaranteed a regular table and chairs. There are not too many “regular” chairs, so just be open to sofa seating. P.S. Service was also great and fast especially considering they were super busy at 10:00 on a Friday!!
