I took my toddler who has cerebral palsy to visit because I saw online that they cater to disabled individuals and this place exceeded all expectations. Not only is this place great for special needs kids but ALL kids would love it. The farm is located on a beautiful and secluded plot of land. It felt welcoming and warm as we drove up. You can tell that they put a lot of thought and dedication to creating the playroom and sensory room inside. My son was mesmerized by the lights in the sensory room. They had buttons that kids could press to change the colors of the room and one light changed color from your voice. The owner gave us a tour of the place and showed us all the different animals. She was so welcoming and kind. My son was the only kid who couldn’t walk (we came with a small group) and she made sure he was included which is all I want for him. The animals are trained to be around loud noises and children and they were so friendly! They all had cute names too. Along the walkway from the barn to the animals, they had a bunch of fun activities like a sensory bucket of dried corn with little trucks. Overall, we had such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to come back.

We had such an amazing time taking our daighter and our Autistic son to visit the farm. It’s so beautiful and there are tons of different things for kids (and adults!) to enjoy. The Sensory Barn is especially impressive with multiple rooms and plenty of fun things for the kids to do. My daughter loved the bubble light tube and my son could have played on the slide and jumped down to the crash pad all day. The animals are incredibly cute and very very sweet with the kids. There’s plenty of space to run around and we love how visits are scheduled so that there is never a large crowd which could be overwhelming for our son. It was well worth the admission price and we plan to visit again soon. Highly, highly recommend trying a visit if you have someone you love who is on the spectrum or deals with any number of disabilities. They are wheelchair friendly as well!

I recently brought my son, who is 4 years old & autistic, to this farm & he fell in love instantly! The owner makes sure to book groups of people separately I’m assuming to avoid anything being too overstimulating & to get a more intimate experience. We loved this so much! We spent the first 1.5hrs inside running back & forth from the sensory room to the activity/gym room. My son immediately felt comfortable to explore everything & was so engaged with everything, I honestly wish we could have stayed longer. After that we headed out to see the animals & that experience was just as great. All her animals are very well trained & SO nice. The owner was amazing throughout our visit & we will absolutely be back! 10/10 recommend.

A co-worker and I brought a small group of early intervention families that we work with to the farm and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience and our host and owner, Jessica. The sensory barn has opportunities for movement play with fun equipment for the kids, also a more chill room for calming and a yoga room for those that just need a calm break from everything. The animals are an amazing experience! They are friendly and well-trained to be around little ones. Jessica has thoughtfully designed this space and is a wonderful guide in all of the settings.

I cannot say enough about my family’s positive experience at Helping Friendly Farm. It was an afternoon we will always cherish and I cannot wait to go back again soon. We loved our time relaxing in the sensory barn and interacting with all the animals…Marty the pig is our new best friend! The staff and volunteers are incredibly kind, accommodating, respectful and sensitive to each participant’s needs. The farm is a one of a kind spot where everyone can have a wonderful experience. We heard about Helping Friendly Farm though a friend and we are so thankful for finding it. Jessica is AMAZING and this farm is such an amazing tool for children with special needs. Both of my children are on the spectrum and have a love for animals. The animals are so friendly and so well taken care of. My oldest son can’t wait to come back! And the sensory barn is awesome. Such a great place for the kids to go to self regulate. I recommend this barn for any family looking for something for you and your child with any kind of special needs

I took my daughter to helping friendly farms for a fun day out. She had an absolute blast first we went into the building and played in the sensory gym. It was clean aesthetically pleasing and my daughter had so much fun. We then went into the yoga room and played with the lights in the light room. She was so fascinated. Once we tried everything inside we went outside. Once outside we got to meet donkeys. Unlike so many places where they say you can engage with animals and then once you arrive you can look from another side of the fence, you are taken into the pen and can get cuddles and snuggles with them! My daughter fed them hay and grass and they loved her and were so so sweet. Again the pen is clean and the animals are happy and content. We then went for a walk where my daughter was able to pick a carrot smell lavender and play with some toys while being guided by the founder. We then went and played with the goats and chickens. There was a sink and soap outside so it was super easy to wash up before I put her in the car and she proceeded to nap for 3 hours! She had such a great time and I cannot wait to visit again!

My son came to this farm with his speech therapist and my in-laws. He had the best time and they were so impressed with how interactive everything was. He is still learning to communicate with words and the animals were so fun for him to connect the dots from seeing them in a picture book. We can’t wait to take him ourselves.
