I just moved to Browns Mills and found the soil at my house was terrible for gardening. I am very lucky to have found Herman's, both for the garden soil, and the beautiful mulch! The staff is very welcoming, pleasant, and patient. I can see this as the beginning of a great relationship. Their Herman's regular mulch is some of the best I've seen. Highly recommended! Why are we wasting money at box stores!?! The prices here are better! I was stunned by their website and their prices.

The service here is better. They genuinely want you to get what you need at a fair price, with no hassle.

I can not say enough about my visit. I needed sand. I called to ask questions. Betsy is the reason this place runs seamlessly. From our phone call, I knew what to do, from when I pulled in, to when I left. She gave clear, concise directions and even shared options for me to get what I needed. I recommend calling and letting them help you think through your project.

I would say I was there 15 minutes max. Impressive. Painless. Awesome. I am a customer for life.

Stopped in to price out and purchase some landscape materials yesterday and had the great opportunity of meeting everyone there. Michelle #1, Michelle#2, Betsy. and Meredith were all so friendly and helpful. It’s been very noticeable post-Covid to see the lack of good customer service help, so our hats off to Mr. Herman and his hiring manager for finding and hiring probably the best crew we’ve seen in quite some time. Highly recommended, you WON’T be disappointed if you decide to make them your primary source for landscaping needs.

I have used Herman’s over the years for playground mulch, black dyed mulch, garden soil, and top soil over the years for a number of projects. I have not had one issue with any of the products I have obtained.
I have used delivery on 4 occasions and pickup once. Delivery was quick to schedule, on time, and the driver was courteous each time. No issues whatsoever.
It is not necessary to schedule pickup but always good to call and see how busy they are if you can ahead of time. The ladies on the end of the phone and at the check in area are the sweetest and most helpful. The machine operators were always aware of their surroundings in the yard and also polite and helpful.
This place is amazing and great for your next project needs.

Really nice and helpful people to work with. I had rock and garden soil delivered for my raised beds without issue. Unfortunately, my peppers and tomatoes pretty much have immediately gone into a nitrogen deficiency, which surprised me based on the reviews here. The tomatoes that remain in their original soil with no additional fertilizer are still green and thriving. So be aware the garden soil mix is not balanced.

I have been going to Herman's for as long as I can remember. When I had my landscape supply yard, they always took care of me and I ordered everything through them. My customers were always satisfied by the quality, especially the mulch. I have installed thousands of yards of mulch and never a complaint.
Now I use then for my own property because whatever you need, they have it. Everyone is always great there and it is always great to see Herman out there running his machine!

An absolute pleasure to work with. I’ve recently moved to the area and have been using Herman’s on all my projects since. They have been on time, have the material I need and have an extremely friendly/professional staff. Being in the construction business, I just wish all of my other suppliers worked as smoothly as they do. Highly recommended

If I could give more stars I would! Hands down the very best soil I've ever gotten anywhere. I've spent alot of money trying different places out because hermans is 40 minutes away and in new jersey and i am in PA so I doubt they would deliver. I pay a friend to help me pick it up in his dump trailer it's that good! Picked up 5 yards of compost today to reamend last year's newly established beds and I will be heading back soon to pick up 5 yards of the garden soil mix for a large new raised bed. All of my veggies that grew in hermans garden soil blend last year did phenomenal!
