Hicks Paving are true professionals. From the initial meeting / estimate to the scheduling and installation of my new driveway, I couldn't be happier. My wife and I have been dreaming of new driveway for over ten years and Hicks made our dream a reality. This is my second time using Hick's Paving. The first time was to have my gravel driveway paved. They gave me a very reasonable price and did a great job on the original work.

Since the paving work was completed I had an addition done to my garage to build a new workshop. The contractor for that work doesn't deal with driveways and we agreed he'd leave a gap between the original driveway and the new addition.

This meant that Hick's needed to build a small ramp into the new garage as the height of the concrete floor was higher than the driveway to ensure no water entered the garage. They gave me a reasonable quote for this work and also to crack-fill and sealcoat the entire driveway (it hadn't been done in a while).

Due to issues with construction delays and permit issues it was about a year from when Hick's quoted the work and when we were able to actually start the work.

Hick's honored the original quote, even after a year (I honestly didn't expect them to do that) and did the work today. The driveway looks beautiful and the ramp into the new addition is perfect! Great work, good prices, what more could you ask for? I strongly recommend Hick's Paving!

After 5 years of doing major addition/remodeling projects to my house and yard, I knew that at the end of it all I would have to repave my driveway. The years of abuse by dumpsters, trucks and heavy equipment had taken its toll. The house looks great, but my driveway was broken up and weeds were beginning to take over. I also had this problem of my RV bottoming out as I left left the driveway. I asked Hicks paving to come in and give me an estimate. The salesman was very professional. He took some measurements and worked up a price quote on the spot. He came up with a price that I thought was competitive, but fair. There was no pressure whatsoever to sign the contract or schedule an appointment immediately. I asked if I could give a down payment, but have the work done in a couple of months. No problem.

Fast forward to a couple of days ago. The prep crew came in 90 plus degree weather and worked diligently to rip out the old driveway and prep for the new one. They paid particular attention to the bottom of the driveway where I was bottoming out. They arrived early the next morning to complete the prep work. Chris, the crew chief told me that it looked like the upper part of the driveway was not draining properly. He said it would require further excavation. His boss came with more equipment and a couple of extra workers. The driveway was excavated, graded and ready to be paved with more than enough time for the asphalt to be delivered that afternoon. Sam Hicks walked me around to make sure that everything I had asked for was done. To my surprise, not only had they fixed the problem at the bottom of the driveway, but they had also cleared out the brush that was invading the edges and edged the entire area to give a more overall pleasing effect. All this, and never once was it even even implied that it might cost more money. Sam just smiled and said it was all part of the contract. The driveway was complete and paved before the first raindrop fell. I checked it out this morning. The driveway is smooth and level without a hint of a puddle anywhere on it. I couldn't be more pleased with the job! I highly recommend Hicks paving to anyone who is considering having work done.

This is going to sound like a paid endorsement, but it is not. First of all their quote was very fair. Second, we worked with Michael in the days leading up to the driveway being done and he was super fantastic to work with. I had a last minute extra that I needed done and it required them to add in drain piping. Michael completed that work and charged a fair extra amount for it. My driveway was a tough one. It is long, narrow and on a steep slope. The crew was neat and the finished product was terrific! I can highly recommend Hicks paving.
