I really want to love these seeds. I have been using them in my garden for nearly 15 years. Unfortunately, they are never the seeds I reach for first. I've successfully germinated lettuce seeds that were more than 20 years old. I store all my seeds properly yet I have an extremely difficult time germinating these seeds. I've purchased the optima lettuce seeds at least 10 times over the years but the last 4 years have been a complete and total failure. I write this as I look at my trays of starts, every other lettuce variety has germinated but the optima just refuses! The herb and flowers seeds are quite nice and I've had good success with the tomatoes and peppers. Zone 6b/7a.

I ordered and followed instructions on packets, 2 ķinds of onions, pumpkin, salad mix, I have 2 pumpkin plants and 2 salad mix plants that came up! I realize they all won't germinate but I was hoping for more then 4 plants!

I'm not an organic gardener, but I'm a huge fan of High Mowing Seeds. Every variety they offer is excellent. I've often been disappointed in the vegetable varieties I've purchased elsewhere, either by poor yield, disease and insect susceptibility, poor keeping ability, etc.

Instead of offering EVERY variety and making you do all the work of researching what might work best for you, High Mowing consistently offers only varieties that work well, keep well, etc. They want organic farmers to succeed, and that attitude works for home gardeners as well. I've never been disappointed by anything I've bought from them.

I've been buying seeds for my backyard garden from this company for years. And I don't want to buy seeds anywhere else. They have a great variety, quality product and great customer service. I had a chance to try some new vegetables, greens and herbs that I would never be able to buy in grocery stores. I highly recommend this company!

Great place to buy seeds! I need larger quantities of bean and pea seeds than I can get cheaply in the small packets in the stores. They have these larger packets at reasonable prices. Shipping is also cheaper than at many seed outlets. Last year the company sent me a rebate when they discovered that the pea seeds that I purchased didn't meet expectations. (The supposed snow peas reverted to regular peas.)

They have a large catalog of choice for both the home and professional gardener.

Highly recommended.
