A rare, wonderful store in Occuquan.
This business, is conveniently located along Mill Street near River Mill Park. To get there, you can park in one of the nearby lots or find street parking in the historic downtown area. The store itself is located in a 2-story building that backs up to the riverwalk below the bridge. It sites at the end of one of the buildings on the bottom floor and has a charming, old-fashioned exterior with a welcoming storefront that draws you in. Inside, it may be small but it is really well done. It is a treasure trove for stationery enthusiasts and those seeking unique gifts. The shop has shelves lined with a variety of paper goods, including artisanal cards, notebooks, journals, and fine writing instruments. They offer a selection of specialty papers for crafting and DIY projects, making it a favorite spot for creative endeavors. The staff was really nice with the counter at the back of the store. The ambiance is cozy and nostalgic. It is not a really large store but I could easily spend a while in there with it’s book selection, paper choices and pen options. If you love pen and ink, then you will probably really like this location. Whether you're looking for a thoughtful greeting card or a beautifully crafted journal, Hitchcock Paper Company offers a delightful shopping experience filled with quality products and old-world charm in the heart of Occoquan.

This review is for an online order. I had the cutest little library pretend play set on my Pinterest board for the longest time. Finally decided to order it along with other trinket items for friends and family members. My order was shipped and arrived promptly with much care taken for the items inside. My only regret is not having visited this lovely shop in person. Highly recommend!

This paper boutique is absolutely AMAZING. The aesthetic is neutral and relaxing. If you're a writer or enjoy journaling, you'll want to buy everything here. The curation is spectacular. I can't wait to go back!!

I live in the Los Angeles area in CA & was visiting my family in VA when I checked out beautiful sleepy Occoquan in late October. Looking for postcards, I meandered into this new quaint, delightful, colorful, creative, inspiring, good vibe stationary store! The owner, Sarah, was so warm & welcoming...& the space is light & airy, & has great windows in the front & a nice back view of the river & gorgeous tree line. Such a fun & unique variety of cool stationary, gifts, & writing devices. I was amazed by the Mollybeads fine paper jewelry collection (photo)! Awesome journal choices, too! The one I purchased here (photo) was perfect for the next stage of my writing journey. Thanks for being a part of my sweet & magical autumn experience of historic Occoquan!
