Let me start by saying that building a pool is a very large expense. Making the right choice of what company to use is extremely important. That's why I would say without a doubt that anyone should stay away from HomeTurf Landscapes. They are horrible. The worst decision I have ever made was chosing them to build our dream pool. First off a pool that was supposed to be finished by Mermorial day 2024 didn't "finish" (I used that term lightly because the job is still not complete) till the end of August. They were here in September replacing a faulty pump one of the many issues Im pretty sure they use used equipment. They had to pull the pool shell out of the ground, re-dig, and rebuild a retaining wall because they didn't read the grade properly. (Big mistake). They made a much larger mess of my yard then needed to be because of all the mistakes. They said "oh you won't need a rail its not slippery" it's so slippery that somebody is going to break there neck getting in the pool. They promised to install a rail after seeing this and it still as of today 11/1/24 has not happend. Where the retaining wall meets the concrete the entire length is all cracked and looks like complete garbage. The pool shifts all around when you walk around in it. You feel is moving and shifting under your feet. I've been told by a reputable pool company that that should not happen as bad as it is. The job they did is just awful. We are not happy and wish we went with a real pool company as this is not it. We have told the 4 people in our new neighborhood to go elsewhere as our experience with this joke of a compnay and its owner Robbie has been horrendous. They thankfully have chosen better companies and are not experiencing the horror show we have. The owner of the company Robbie (who likes to say he is the VP but after doing some research I found out he was lying as he is definitely the owner. But lying seems to be a specialty of his). He is extremely unprofessional and trys to take the cheapest way to fix a situation that his company makes and ends up making matters worse and then wants to sell you on it or try and make you accept his decisions even when you disagree. This company and there owner make promises they do not keep. They deliver a bad product and they do not finish the job properly. It's also left us wondering how stable this pool is It's cost was over 100k and I wonder if they will even 100% finish the job. As it stands right now it looks like we will have to hire another contractor to fix all the problems we are left with. Overall I 100% would avoid using this company for anything. They do terrible work and they don't finish. They have zero respect for customers. They lie about everything and do not deliver on promises. I have found a few of there other customers through social media who have been burned by them as well so we are not alone. Do not use them keep looking there are good companies out there but HomeTurf Landscapes is definitely not one of them.

In response to there statement..... They never went above and beyond anything. That is a lie. If they are speaking of having to add more concrete. That was due to there design mistake. They had no choice. Don't be fooled by them. They absolutely do not care about there customers. They do not care about making it right. They never did. As far as "construction jobs having challenges and how you deal with them being the true testament ". That also speaks volumes to how bad this company is. They left us with a unfinished job that looks terrible in several areas that we will have to have another more qualified company fix. By far the worst experience I've ever had.

Home Turf just completed our pool and we couldn’t be happier with it. They had built a pool for me before, and when I moved to a new house they were my first choice again. Charlie MacDonald was a pleasure to work with and never failed to respond to our concerns quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend this company.

Home Turf installed our pool and hardscape. The job was a bit challenging with a long narrow driveway, and a site at the top of a steep grade. They took it in stride and did a great job. The install crew was meticulous in packing stone fill under the fiberglass. The hardscape crew installed the Nicolock pavers carefully and adjusted expertly for water drainage away from the house and to a few strategically placed drains. . Great job. Thank you.

Great Experience!! HomeTurf came to me highly recommended; and I gotta say, I was not let down. I don't think I'll ever do my own landscaping again. From start to finish, they were professional and friendly, working with me too capture exactly what I had in mind.

Any negative review you have read about HomeTurf is spot on. Against our better judgement and reading many negative reviews, the salesman of course had a quick retort and assured us things would be different. That was in the past and they had changed. Well, that is the furthest from the truth. I can’t stress enough, OVERPROMISED AND UNDERDELIVERED. Our pool was originally supposed to be delivered the end of may. Got bumped to end of June, which this I get was a supplier issue. The pool was finally put in the ground after sitting in the yard for 3 weeks… was told it would be in the ground with water within a few days of the shell arriving. Then it took weeks to install the concrete collar and then the coping. Took weeks for quotes on the patio and then at the last minute they provide them so you don’t have an option to price check. There subs dumped gas in our yard, home turf left trash, didn’t show for weeks when we were told “once they start there will be someone there everyday until the job is complete because we are not like those other companies”. Despite a large deposit and draw, items were not ordered on time. We are still waiting on concrete. Our yard has been trashed after I had just finished grating and seeding with Yukon golf grass. A pile of rock was left in the middle of our driveway for 2 weeks and was finally moved after having to have a “fit”. Fortunately we have awesome neighbors that have allowed us to park in their yard. The salesman constantly talks over us and never let my wife get a complete sentence out. They built a retaining wall that was supposed to dive into the side yard….well it doesn’t and just stops. They say that is how it was drawn by the salesman and built accordingly. I guess perhaps they should have someone more qualified draw it up and propose the work. We paid top dollar and have felt like we are receiving not only cut rate work but that they don’t know what they are doing. Their website states they have been building pools for 15 years but I think they mean dog years.
I cannot express how disappointed we have been with almost every aspect of this job. We didn’t cut corners. 16x40 Corinthian pool, heater, auto cover, slide, the list goes on. I expected more. Honestly, I think I could have done a DIY pool faster than they have and it look nicer.

Probably the best customer service I’ve ever received. Haven’t had an opportunity to choose a contractor. Even if the pricing is comfortable, I would use this company based on their customer service alone best ever.
