Small quaint hotel right in city center. Admittedly, city center is about a block long across both sides of Dole Park. The toilets are the best amenity this hotel offers. ||The building itself has a lot of plantation history so that nice. The room is updated and aesthetically pleasing. ||The shower pressure is light and there really isn't hot water. There is warm water to shower. ||It was disappointing that the hotel had no body lotion. Such a basic amenity. It's a good alternative to save money on a hotel when compared with Four Seasons and Sensie. ||Staff was cordial. I would stay again if my plan would be outside of the room 95% of the day. No room to walk around in your room and I booked the room with a porch thankfully. That gave us some room to move around.

Very nicely redecorated vintage hotel. Efficient and friendly staff. Great location. Main downside was our very cramped room. No chairs or any place to sit. We had a shared lanai, which helped some. Hotel restaurant is closed on Sun, and Mon. We would recommend though.

Quaint hotel with tech forward rooms. I enjoyed all the tech in the room. Shades, lights and fan all operated by a panel which was nice.

I loved the toto toilets just as others mentioned. The heated seat for girlies is such a treat. Also, liked the attached restaurant. Food was good, not great. Service was great.

Overall, recommend as a 3 star hotels. They missed body lotion and having basic trash can in the room.

Note: the rooms are very small! The porch upgrade is worth it.

Best hotel in Lanai City if you're not looking to spend $2k/night at the 4 seasons. Nicely updated rooms, fantastic restaurant, and top-notch service.

Hotel Lanai is a gem in the middle of town that offers an unparalleled experience. With only 11 rooms, this boutique historic hotel provides an intimate atmosphere that makes guests feel like family. We were blown away by the full service restaurant on property that served mouthwatering dishes and had an impressive wine selection with a great happy hour.. The king size room with a patio facing town was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The hotel's location was within walking distance to local markets, hiking trails, and breathtaking views on a morning walk. We couldn't have asked for a more memorable stay! Shout out Ferlyn (Front Desk), Jacob (bartender) Jordan (hotel restaurant), Christian (Chef), Chuck (Master Sommelier) and Sayla (Housekeeper).

Hotel Lanai is beautiful and located right by all the cute shops and great restaurants in Lanai City. It is also walking distance to the Adventure Towers and right across the street from the movie theater with the best popcorn ever. I had some minor issues the first night at the hotel and the staff bent over backward to take care of them immediately. My husband and I were having some trouble finding transportation down to the beach and the gal at the desk worked hard to help us out. Erin the manager even went so far as to drive up to the hotel to bring me something I needed. I am so impressed! Will definitely come back again. 🙂

Rooms recently updated, pictures on website do not to justice. Great blend of modern amenities and old-world charm. Perfect location. Would have liked them to open part of restaurant for breakfast.

My wife and I ended up staying on Lanai when we needed to move from Maui/ Lahaina when the wild fires burned down the hotel we were supposed to stay at. Our plan was to ferry over to Lanai, but instead, we flew in and stayed two days. This hotel is excellent and very mellow and low key. It is not trying to be the Four Seasons, so do not expect that. The rooms are a bit small by modern standards, but that is because you are in a historic building that was for the Dole executives to stay in when this was a pineapple plantation. Considering the building has been around from the 1920s or so, it is wonderfully modern. It is very comfortable and friendly. Staff was great. Only two nitpicks - bed was very soft and comfortable but you sink in a bit too much and end up in a rut. i think the memory foam mattress needed to be rotated, kind of like your tires. It is great that you can walk all of Lanai City from here and we did so repeatedly. We also ended up getting a car (not a 4WD) and checked out beaches and the cat sanctuary. This is truly old school Hawaii that is mellow and meant to take your blood pressure down. If you cannot handle that, it is on you, not the hotel. I would love to stay here again.
