The folks here are super nice, and the plants outside look good, but inside the store is messy and cluttered, with full priced merchandise faded with age and covered in dust. Worst of all, the store reeks of cat and chicken urine from the free ranging animals. Would be happy to return if checkout didn’t require going inside or if the store was cleaned up, it was really that off-putting.

We stopped in and oh my! they have such a variety of plants. Some might be past the “season “ but thats OK - I know I can bring them back. Just ate one of the two large, awesome tomatoes we bought and it’s best ever and now we might have to drive all the way back there for more “buckingham county” tomatoes. (Edit: I should add, any plants past their “season” were
definitely priced accordingly.)

My husband and I was so happy to find Hottinger Greenhouses! The owners and staff are awesome! They are all so knowledgeable and very nice down to earth people! They have the most beautiful flowers, trees and other lovely plants there. They will be our go to place from now on! I highly recommend Hottinger Greenhouses. You will not be disappointed! We could tell that they take a lot of pride in what they do. 😊

These are "home grown folks" helping you out!! Terrific selection of plants, materials in a truly rustic setting. Ducks of various breeds greet you, sometimes follow you & such pretty chickens just look...happy! I was most happy finding my ferns & eating a fresh white peach! franki
