I was searching for a unique, off-the-beaten-path chocolate experience and was thrilled to discover this gem of a company. It's a small, family-run business, and the owners, Sally and Howard, are absolutely wonderful! The tour was fantastic—informative, engaging, and filled with warm, personal touches. Their hospitality made the experience even sweeter. We couldn’t resist purchasing some of their amazing chocolate, and we're hoping it lasts until we get back home, to treat our oldest. Even our 15-year-old, who’s seen and done a lot on this trip, said it was the highlight of our visit to the island. I can't recommend them highly enough!

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai. Howard and Sally are knowledgeable, engaging, and kind. We learned so much and loved learning about the chocolate-making process. Howard and Sally's chocolate farm tour is by far the most informative and enjoyable farm tour that we've ever been on! If you want to learn all about chocolate, from pod to bar, this hands-on, up close and personal tour is for you. Their farm is a small, organic, solar- powered operation that is a true labor of love. Howard and Sally's joy in sharing their passion, experience. and knowledge is obvious from the moment you arrive. And their chocolate is the best we ever tasted. Just delicious! Sally, Howard, and their sweet dog Ipo, were incredibly hospitable to my group during our visit to Kauai. The farm tour offered a unique experience that allowed for a hands-on and up close view of cacao agriculture. The chocolate factory is one of a kind and our hosts shared their labor of love with a sampling of delicious HouLau chocolate. The farm, factory, and hosts are enchanting! This was a truly wonderful experience.

Amazing non commercial Chocolate tour. We had a great time in this unique tour where we visited the farm, the factory and tasted different chocolates. Along the way, Sally and Howard generously presented their project from the ground up to what it is now. We strongly recommend this tour.

What an EXCEPTIONAL tour this was for my husband and I!!! And their chocolate items are the best!!! Saw a sign on the road down to Moloa’a Beach last year for the farm. Googled them and found out they give tours. We were fortunate to be able to book a tour for our Kauai visit this year (November 2024). Sally, Howard and their farm are SO impressive!! We learned so much from them about cacao from start to finished product (and got to taste it along the way!). In addition to recommending their chocolate, we were impressed with their off-grid processing.
If you are in Kauai and are interested in REAL chocolate and REAL chocolate farmers, this tour is a MUST!!

Highlight of our trip to spend time on Howard and Sally's farm, they are an inspiring couple and so down to earth. We are very blessed to have met them and savored every bite of their chocolate - truly the best chocolate we have ever had! We loved learning of how they began and accomplished after trial and error their passion for becoming chocolatiers! Hope to return back one day!!
