I don’t know what is going on at hummus Bay but I am heartbroken. This used to be my favorite restaurant. I ate there four times a week and the last couple of times that I have gotten food from there it has been awful. The hummus that I used to be able to eat by the tub taste like it came from a can it does not look taste or feel edible. The turnips that I used to get were a bright vibrant purple today there are white huge chunks that have zero flavor. The delicious pickles that used to come slices were tossed into my bowl as chunks and had no flavor. No longer offering lentil rice, I had to get basmati which was dry and hard. I truly have never eaten a worse meal. So sad pictures of today’s bowl vs what they used to look like.

The portion control is really inadequate. I was a first timer tonight, and ordered three to go meals. I copied the guy in front of me, who had a lot of food in his bowl. I got a shaken spoon happy meal size, for about 20 bucks. My daughter and wife's bowls were much more than mine. I don't think I'll be back. It is good, but way too expensive to eat and than have to make a sandwich after.

Hummus Bay....why?
I came here today for the fresh, delicious hummus that I had a few months back. What I got was some extra smooth, cold, unseasoned hummus with a sprinkle of paprika. I am so disappointed. It feels like you aren't even trying. I WILL NOT be eating at this establishment again.

What the hell Hummus Bay!? I have eaten here several times in the past and I get the same thing every time. Today I was craving what I always get which is the signature bowl with chicken Shawarma. This bowl is supposed to come with pickles and a tomato cucumber mix, onions and hummus. I did not get ANY of these things. I literally got a bowl of chicken and rice with a huge scoop of what I assume to be their signature garlic sauce? No hummus. No pickles. nothing. I’m so incredibly disappointed As I was sincerely looking forward to the bowl with the onions and the pickles and the tomatoes and cucumber and this is nothing like what it is supposed to be. Why am I paying $16 for mediocre portion of chicken and rice?

I was already home ready to enjoy my lunch before I realized how awful this bowl is or else I would have returned it. I did an online order and picked up in store. My order number was 1331809283 in case anyone reading this wants to do the right thing and make this right otherwise unfortunately I will not be back. I can’t even understand how they just blatantly left all those Ingredients out? The hummus even? Come on!

Also I should note that I went inside to pick this up myself. I could maybe make an exception if they were swamped and someone just forgot or my order got lost In the shuffle. There was only one older lady who was dining in and absolutely no one waiting at the counter so what is the reason for this?

10/29/24 *UPDATE* I emailed management shortly after I wrote my original review. No response to that email or this review. I find this unacceptable and really discourage you from dining here! I still can’t get over the cost of the bowl (pictured, $16) and what I actually got.

After moving to the area from the northeast, we were looking for flavors similar to the halal carts in NY. This is very close and also offers way more options for building bowls. Everything we have tried so far has been delicious, fresh tasting and a great value. Their to go packaging is good. They also are on the Too Good to Go app which cuts down on food waste and allows people to eat in a budget. The owners are from the area and clearly care about being part of the community.

Not the same since new owners took over. Why change a good thing? Chicken schwarma is no longer cooked to order. It’s s pre cooked and drying out on a steam table. It was dry and tasteless. Asked for extra sauce, no can do. The flavors in the rice and side dishes were off. We were regular customers. Won’t be going back.

My wife bought the Cauliflower Bowl with hummus, tzatziki sauce, feta cheese and lentil rice and tabbouleh salad.She said it was pretty dang good. She ordered out so I really can’t say to much about the restaurant itself. She says she will go back.

Honestly not as it use to be my husband and i use to love this place their falafel were amazing and now since the mew ownership its terrible taste and they flatten the falafel and no pita its extremely disappointing wont be going again
