Well evidently you can get a permit in less than one day as the guy living on the next street had the county visit him, but the same day resumed replacing the entire roof. Most people here assume he either didn't get a permit or just bribed the permit department. Cause if you look it up, it clearly states 10 days to get a permit. Ten, 10 days, not zero. Yeah, your tax money well spent paying these county employees

They’re doing a great job destroying Imperial County. I used to rehab houses in this county, but the permit process has gotten worse and worse, more and more expensive, more and more onerous, to the point where they have driven me out of this county and I’m going out of business. Now the house will sit there and rot because it’s not economically possible to fix them. Thanks guys!

Helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable staff.
I went in with no appointment and some in depth questions and requests, didn't have to wait long, and was helped by both an inspector and supervisor.
