This school is absolutely horrible I would give zero stars if I could. They may be able to train students somewhat decently on an accelerated track but the way they treat the students is abhorrent. A close friend of mine is an RA and the things she has told me have made it perfectly clear that this school does not care about it's students, especially the ones who have to live on campus. My brother is looking in to culinary school and I would never in a million years recommend this one. My mom went to IUP main and had a great experience but this branch campus is an absolute disgrace.

A neutral rating, not a BAD rating. I wasn't a student, but the other reviews seem to lack any details so here is my experience. I cannot comment on the quality of the education but I did grow up in a hotel restaurant so I am not completely ignorant of the skills needed and the actual low chance of getting what I would consider a good job. All I know is that during a press party hosted by IUP for Groundhog Day I saw the heap big chef going past me in a hallway. He had all the arrogance of a big time chef and completely ignored me (a member of the press) EVEN when one of the students told him I knew and worked with Julia Child. (FYI, without her there might be no French cooking in this country.) Previously, an older friend of mine graduated and got a job cooking but quit after a month. She told me it paid less than her previous job and the working conditions were awful. Just one graduate, but useful information. This is a very tough profession and there are few openings. I've tried to obtain data on graduates and their work experience with no success. That is neutral data, not good or bad, just something to know.
