Had to stop for fuel on the way up to the high country to clear up some misconceptions that some Scallywaggers have on what private property means, and the J&L Market Deli sure looks inviting. I didn't have a lot of time so I just got a plain old ham sandwich, and all I can say is WOW!
5 Stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

Great place for a quick stop and get gas best prices in town for gas. If you like playing the lottery. There seems to be a lot of good winning tickets there okay. The people who work there are very nice and courteous always. And the owner is a really nice lady as well. The only reason why I left 4 stars. Is because there are always vagrants out in front trying to bum something off of you.

This place is always busy. Cross roads intersect brings in high traffic. I enjoyed the fresh fruit cups and hot Tamales. If you have more time to sit a spell then go over to there fresh made to order deli and just enjoy San Joaquin's oldest community.

I have to say place did fill my craving for green enchiladas. Just FYI make sure you like spicy food and you'll love these green enchiladas they make. Cost wise seemed a little high for just 3 enchiladas rice and beans but for flavor I would definitely go back. Most places have this dish at around low $6 to maybe $9 for the same dish overall.

This a pretty busy convenience store that came across because they maintain the gas pumps of the vacant station next door. I was trying to get gas and there is a sign saying to pay at the store. [There's no way to pay with credit cards or cash at the pump - so who have to have a human interaction ; -)] When I got back to the pump I couldn't get anything to flow. Back in the store another customer said "You've got to make sure to flip the handle!" Underneath the pump handle is a plastic lever that you have to flip upward to trigger the pump to start. Voila! I picked up a few groceries there and all the customers and staff were wearing masks as required.

The girl at the counter was so rude. Did not greet me. She acted as if she didn't want to help me. All I wanted was a sprite and a cup of ice because the gas station next door didn't have fountain drinks and they told me to go over there. Then after I paid she didn't say thank you she actually turned her back to me as I said thank you. Horrible customer service.
