Every dishes are very creative and delicious. There are early dinner specials 3 courses for $50 including one small plate , one big plate and a dessert. Dishes are very tasty. Highly recommended. Better make reservations ahead.

Had a reservation for 5 PM and got seated right away. Our server was phenomenal. Super attentive, friendly, and gave awesome recommendations depending on how much we could eat since my friend and I have small palates. We ordered two small different dishes each and dessert and it was perfect with some drinks. Everything was delicious from the scallop ravioli to the desserts. Ambiance was great and by 5:30 it got very crowded so I highly recommend reservations and to get there early at 5 because the parking lot is small and can get packed. It was easy for us to find parking because it was still pretty empty at 5.

After reading all the amazing reviews, my husband and I knew JO2 was going to be on our list of places to check out while in Kauai.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations. It could’ve been the dishes we ordered, but even the green bean tempura everyone raves about was good, but nothing special. We also ordered the scallop risotto and the branzino. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re making a drive or if you’re looking for a stand-out meal.

My husband and I are born and raised in LA, and have traveled a lot, which could be why we have higher standards for meals. I, personally, believe a lot of the positive reviews are from people who haven’t tried many Asian dishes, and are wowed by the Asian fusion aspect of JO2.

Overall, it’s a decent restaurant, but for the cost and taste, I would pass.

Stumbled on J02 and it was just amazing. The sever was super informative and explained every course. The portions were perfect and so well presented. 10 out of 10. We got there early at 5:30, by the time we left this place was full and people were waiting outside. I’m so happy we found this restaurant.

Wow! We went to most of the go-to spots on Kauai that had high reviews and many of them were very overrated. JO2 was by far the exception to that. The food was the best we had on the island. Prices were reasonable for the fresh ingredients and creative dishes you are getting. The service was also top notch and everyone was very attentive and friendly.

We got the scallop ravioli, quail, pork belly bolognese, and tempura green beans for the small plates. The bamboo steamed fish, scallop and ahi combo, and beef cheek for the large plates. There were 6 of us and we thought we would be leaving hungry, but all of us left full and happy. The green beans were so good we ended up ordering two. The presentation was beautiful and everything was delicious. If you're looking for an unforgettable meal on the island, definitely go to JO2!

We enjoyed our 5 star dinner. We didn't make a reservation but after a friendly welcome they re-arranged some reservation and we were assigned a table for 4. Thank you! The dishes were wonderful.

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to try one of the newly awarded Michelin star restaurants in Denver. My meal at JO2 absolutely surpassed it. The service, the presentation of the food and the explosion of flavours across all the dishes on our table, each different and each exceptional in its own right. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

The best restaurant on our trip to the island. It was highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. If you're lucky enough to get Nicole as your server, she'll make great recommendations. All the staff are very friendly and are always checking in on you. And yes, get the scallop ravioli, its lived up to the hype. I recommend getting an extra side of the yuzu butter sauce for dipping. Cant wait to get back to Kapa'a for another visit.
