I want to start off by saying this 1 star review is not because of the staff. Ashley, the front desk and IT are very nice and friendly employees and I wish them well.
My issue here would be with upper management. I had started off with renting a private office in the co-working space on the 3rd floor. My office was located near the co-working “quite space” where people could pay $200 a monthly and work quietly amongst themselves...this later turned into a Verizon recruiting class holding workshops on their sales pitch for selling fios packages. Very loud and disturbing the private offices nearby.

After a while we received an email saying that they were getting rid of the offices of the third floor and relocating their Kearny works members of the third floor to its new Annex expansion (if you chose to stay) as a precautionary measure. Now that’s fine but that came with private offices going from $400-450 a month to $750 a month then $1050+ (after 3 months) lol quite the price jump.

I decided to move downstairs to their newly built annex expansion..after being in this brand new constructed unit, there was a rain storm and my office got soaked inside! ( my neighboring office was all damaged from the rain) A brand new construction which they were charging almost double the price was faulty and leaking....(see attached pictures) I complained and they told me to reach out to maintenance to fix it which I did several times and no one ever came to fix the issue..that was enough for me. Not going to pay a premium to be in a brand new office where it leaks when it rains outside....I decided to move my office to another location. Another issue was receiving my security deposit back. They had told me it would take 30 days. It took 2 months and multiple phone calls from me to make sure this happened.

My recommendation to any entrepreneurs looking for office space is due your research and come visit this office when it rains and see if it’s worth your money.

We've had our business located at Kearny Point for several years. The building is absolutely gorgeous and does not disappoint. If your goal is to provide a very nice working environment for your staff while impressing clients, this is the place to be.

The building isn't just a pretty place to be as it is functional and well kept. A special shout out to Luis and the team here for making our lives easier by always having fantastic solutions for us when we need them.

I recommend Kearny Point for any size business that is looking for a great place to be with a building management team that truly cares about you, your business and your clients.

This place is beautiful. It's.modern, it's attractive. It looks like a colorful Chipotle.

It's pretty but there are a number of things that future tenants should know about the place.

Hospitality and service are not what you would expect from a building that looks this nice. The one thing I wish they would do is figure out a better schedule to clean the bathrooms. It seems they clean all the bathrooms at the same time which then forces an individual to go on a mission to find a bathroom that is available. Making it inconvenient for employees which also waste time due to the scheduled cleanings. This is every day.

The soap dispensers in the bathrooms do not always have soap in them so you play musical soap dispenser till you get one with soap.

Also, I don't know why but it always smells like sewage water near the elevators where the seating is.

The building is very nice, and the staff is very friendly.. We’ll never forget how awesome everyone was. The guys working the front desk always had a ton of positive energy. Nick Gisele and Ashley were always really helpful and friendly. After being tenants for a year the place really felt like home.

The reasoning behind the 1 start review is because of the dishonesty from upper management.

After our one year lease was up our rent was jacked up 40% although during signing they made it seem like it would be around a 3% increase if we wanted to renew.

Seems like they bate tenants to sign with good deals so that is something to consider before signing a lease. We would understand if there had been improvements to the area or building but that is not the case.

Another thing that bugged us is they made us take down our blinds and buy blinds from them. They charged us $1000 for 5 blinds but didn’t allow us to have them when we moved out. So we paid for a capital improvement on their property and wouldn’t refund us or let us have them after we left.

Hate to leave the bad review but it’s honest and maybe they will be more true to their marketing which is all about helping the small businesses and entrepreneurs moving forward.

I was a tenant here for a year and first off the building is fantastic, our neighbors became close friends, and the front desk staff is extremely friendly. However, after having been a tenant here for a year they increased our rent by 40%. We would understand the increase if there had been many improvements to space, but nothing has changed in the last year. So beware when things actually do change, because rent will probably skyrocket again.

When we signed the contract they had made it seem like the rent would increase 3%, but we’re we mislead. It felt like a bait and switch, they brought us in on a fair deal and gave no warning our rent would increase 40% for no reason. Our incident is not an isolated incident. Many spaces have been increased 30%-45%. Some spaces have only been increased in the single digits. So there’s seems to be very little consistency in the increases. We’ve heard of tenants trying to negotiate longer contracts to avoid the absurd increases, but would have to sign a contract for 20% increases every year.

It used to feel like the space was all about the small business but in the year we’ve been there we’ve seen many tenants forced out due to the sky rocketing rent. I hate to right a bad review since the space and front desk staff was very nice. But we would have loved to have been warned before signing our lease.
