Should be NO stars! After my return attempt was gping to cost more than my purchase, and still doesn't guarantee a refund, I have filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. I want a full refund of my $964 without your bogus return fees. This is the worst meat product, super thin and tough, filled with gristle and what appears to be additives. Pic 1 is if what should be the most lean cut of meat - filet mignon and Pic 2 is NY strip.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. The beef is absolute garbage. Literally disgusting and it’s all in the trash. It doesn’t sear, it turns a grayish color. They have the same packaging as Omaha Steaks so apparently it’s a scam. This picture is the “beautiful” ribeyes I attempted to cook. Awful. I disputed the charge with my credit card company as soon as I realized the switch and bait with Omaha steaks. Shame on me for buying into their convincing presentation. Run fast. Don’t waste your money. They have an “F” rating on the BBB. Everyone should file a complaint with them. I just did.

Warning: Shady Meat Sales Tactics – Likely a Scam

If you’ve already made a purchase, go back and firmly request a refund. They’ll usually call a manager and process it without much resistance—they’d rather avoid drawing attention and scaring off the rest of the customers in line. I fell for it and I know my beef, these aren’t it.

Breakdown of their questionable practices:
1. No product shown upfront: You won’t see the meat until it’s your turn to buy. Only signs like Buy 2 get 2 free.
2. False privacy excuse: If you get too close to someone’s transaction, they’ll ask you to step back under the guise of “protecting credit card information.”
3. Bait and switch: The meat they show you isn’t what you’ll receive. The actual product is lower quality and often unrecognizable from what was displayed.
4. Misleading deals: Signs advertise “Buy 1, Get 2 Free” deals, but if you do the math, you’re paying far more than the meat is worth.
5. Poor quality products: The meat is often blade-tenderized, artificially colored, and described in reviews as tough, tasteless, and low quality.

If you fall victim to this, demand your refund immediately. And if you can, warn others in line before they get scammed too.

As another reviewer put it - you can’t say scammers bc I made the purchase, I was not forced nor was my cc stolen.(yet anyway). Do I think they’re dishonest and a little crooked? Yes. Do they use certain tactics to get you there and try to up sell because they don’t have these great deals? 100% I would not have purchased anything if my husband hadn’t been there. I wish I had done more research before we wasted our time. They absolutely lure you in with the “20 ribeyes for $40”. No ribeye deals to be found. The buy one get 2 free deal is actually just $100 off 3 boxes because they wanted $650 for three boxes - we ended up paying $250 for the one box of beef. The math doesn’t math. Do I feel like that’s a great deal- not really. Do I feel like we over paid - also no. I hope the quality is better than I see in the other reviews. I definitely would not have bought it but my husband thought it was a fair enough deal and we are out of steaks in our deep freezer so fingers crossed they are decent quality.
