Kona Brewery Restaurant has been a beloved spot for us for more than a decade, and it’s been wonderful to witness the thoughtful recent enhancements. The updated menu showcases even more locally sourced ingredients and creative, mouth-watering dishes. The new patio cover is a particularly welcome addition, especially for those rainy island days. The gift shop has plenty of new items, making it a fantastic spot to pick up unique gifts.

My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Kua Bay IPA, a unique brew that’s exclusive to the island. The Pawai pepperoni rolls were a great start, full of flavor. The beet salad with chicken was fresh and vibrant, though I would suggest offering a side of balsamic or vinegar dressing to balance the citrus notes to individual preference. The smash burger was cooked to perfection. For dessert, the macadamia nut brownie was superbly rich and fondant-like, while the coconut flan was simply delicious. We are eagerly looking forward to returning to enjoy the shave ice and pineapple cake, as both beautifully reflect authentic local flavors. Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient, making the experience even more enjoyable. Kona Brewery Restaurant continues to be a gem, and we can’t wait to return again!

What a fun experience! Our tour started on the Kona bus where Hank, our driver/tour guide/bartender hyped us up for an afternoon of fun! At the brewery, we learned about the brewing process and got to take a look inside the factory. Hank was full of knowledge and jokes, keeping the atmosphere light and entertaining the entire tour. At the end, our group gathered in the Thirsty Gecko for some free samples of different Kona beers!

We had lunch in the restaurant, the fish tacos are INCREDIBLE! Great staff, great food, great beer!

Great place to eat and obviously, the beer selection is awesome. Lemongrass beer was fantastic! Hubby likes the red. Kids liked the pizza and we liked the poke. Fresh and portion was just right. Loved the atmosphere.

We loved this place!! We actually came here twice while on our honeymoon on Big Island.
We sat outside both times, the atmosphere is great. My husband had the Big Wave, & I had the Longboard. & he got pork tacos & I got fish tacos. Everything was great!! We also stocked up on a ton of merch. Great vibe, food, & beer. We highly recommend!

We got beers to start our visit, then did the tour. The tour is informative and enjoyable if you haven’t done a brewery tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.

After the tour, we ate at the restaurant on site. We did have a bit of a wait, but service was quick. The pizza was good, but not great. Certainly filled the need. Lots of people around us had sandwiches, so maybe that’s the move. Sounds like they will soon have burgers and fries following a kitchen renovation.

The food only above average but overall experience a 5 star! Happy hour Sangria's, 10 bucks. Fun colorful tropical decor all around.

Food was pretty good, strawberry salad with shrimp, and the BLT were good options. The chicken tacos lacked flavor. The beer is excellent and the cozy garden outdoor seating was lovely. The staff was very knowledgeable and quickly attentive to every need of our 3 person party. Would return for a casual night out!

Came here to try some of their beer from draft. There is plenty of space outside and inside. Nice patio and super friendly service. The staff helped us to change something with the order and did a great job. We tried two pizze which where good with the beer. Nice place to hang out with family or with friends
