Excellent flavors and portion sizes. We got the Kalua nachos, Old School, Turkey Bacon Melt, and the BEACH sandwich. Bread was soft and chewy. Nachos were enough to share. Parking was limited, but there is parking behind the building.

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and it was... fine. The sandwich was perfectly toasted and served hot, which I appreciated. I hate it when sandwiches are dripping with sauce but mine could've used a bit more sauce. It was borderline dry! My partner ordered a burrito and I had a bite; it was better and had more flavour.

The best and most tender, flavourful pork roast I've had! I love the Pig on Grass because I can fully savour the flavours of the meat and the unique papaya seed dressing and guava bbq sauce that come with it. I recommend adding in avocado to it as well. I eat here at least 2 times per trip!

We loved this place and will definitely be back to try more things. Really great food, really fantastic staff. The nachos were a great portion and so much flavor. The bomber was my husband's favorite, and the tacos were really yummy. The only part that I would say was not the greatest was the corn tortillas. The limeade was so yummy and the peanut butter cup milkshake was delicious as well

Kono’s is a fantastic spot for some delicious BBQ pork! We tried the BBQ pork plate and the pork sandwich, and both were excellent. The BBQ pork plate came with tender, flavorful pork, a generous serving of rice, and a fresh salad with a tasty dressing. The pork sandwich was loaded with juicy pulled pork and crunchy coleslaw, all packed into a soft, fresh bun. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The laid-back, casual atmosphere at Kono’s makes it a great place to enjoy some hearty, comforting food. Highly recommend giving Kono’s a try for your BBQ fix!

I really hate to do this but what is this Konos? Just because I ordered through Uber Eats I get shorted? No chips with my triple crown and it doesn’t even look like a triple crown to begin with. My BEACH is BECH (where’s the Avo? 😭).

Hate to say it but if I wasn’t a repeat customer this would turn me away.

The girl wearing a green cap with multiple shoulder tattoos should not be working in the kitchen without proper training on health department standards. Even basic common sense and respect for customers would go a long way. When I came in to get a drink, I glanced into the kitchen three times and observed the following:
1. She was cutting produce, ate the last piece herself by placing her fingers inside her mouth. Continued to handle produce.
2. She took out a vape, smoked in the kitchen, and then tucked it into the waistband of her yoga shorts.
3. She used her phone, put it away, and resumed handling produce without washing her hands, or putting on gloves.

This kind of behavior is concerning and unprofessional. If I would be getting food I would cancel my order. I picked up my drink and left.

Parking is limited here. There is free street parking but it is hard to find. So hard to find that we almost left and didn’t even eat here after 10 minutes of unsuccessful looking for a spot. We however finally found one and went to try Kono’s.
Nice seating area both inside and outside. Outside seating was just a bench to sit and eat on but loved the option.
We got Chun bombers as they were recommended by the worker and I understand why. It was quite delicious. Came out piping hot too. Good portion sizes, definitely filled up after eating it, and even took some home.
I will say, I did almost give this place a bad rating due to the lack of parking, but like in Amelia Bedelia, after I tasted the food I forgot why I was so upset. Worth trying to find parking to get a taste!
