My wife Elsa and I had the pleasure of visiting a local farm that is literally in my backyard. ( A few hundred feet from our home).

Upon our arrival down their gravel driveway, we were greeted by Joel and Cathy Kraus, the owners of the farm. They greeted us like we were family even though we just met. They specialize in honey and eggs. They have bee hives on and over 40 chickens on their property. We purchased three (3) bottles of honey and two dozen eggs.

The honey has a dark color with a concentrated intense flavor and was excellent. The eggs were fresh and varied in color and made the best omelette we had in a long time.

On a side note - Their bees have been pollinating our cherry and peach trees and now we get to taste their honey.

We have found our new favorite place to buy fresh eggs and honey. What makes this farm even better for us is that we can walk here from our home.

Thank you Joel and Cathy for being extremely friendly and giving us a brief history of your experience being farmers.

What an absolutely wonderful farm! We moved into Somerset county a few weeks ago and the first thing we found was a huge honey bee nest settled near the foundation of our home. Not sure what to do, we took a chance and called Joel. He stopped by the next day to take a look, explain the process, and set up a trap to safely relocate the hive and transport them to their bee farm! Throughout the process Joel was incredibly communicative and friendly, gave us detailed status updates, and it's incredibly clear how passionate he is about taking care of these bees. This was a massive nest and he and his family did a really professional job. We know the bees are in wonderful hands at their farm. Excited to stop by soon to visit and grab some honey 🙂

Let me 1st start my saying... my daughter (11yr) who does not like honey... absolutely loves this honey! The honey is amazing! She can't get enough! I brought the honey for my son's allergies... I have to say so far he's doing very well. My household has found a new delicious beneficial honey and we're never buying store brand again! 🤗

Great service, great product!!
Bought local honey to combat pollen allergies. Mrs./ Ms. Kraus delivered to my home and when I didn't answer the phone she left a text and ensured I knew where she left it.

Our search for locally sourced honey (in the USA) led us to this family-run farm in NJ. We use honey in so many of our recipes and wanted a farm-to-table product. The Kraus family were very helpful with our many (and I mean many) questions on their processing and cultivating of the honey, how the bees are maintained, the use of sustainable products, etc. And having moved across the country recently, having a little taste of the east coast are huge bonus points. Thanks again!
