Kula Lodge Restaurant is situated right on the side of the Volcano with stunning views across the island, amazing place to watch the sunset. Served tasty beers and nice food. Only had a snack here but the pizzas looked amazing. The view on the terrace is amazing. Highly recommend for the view.

Day 2 on Maui and we were up at 2:30 AM to drive from Ka'anpali to the summit of Haleakala for the sunrise. One way to add to the memory of the spectacle of the day dawning at 10,000 feet? On the way down the mountain, you absolutely MUST stop at the Kula Lodge & Restaurant. Service with grace and a smile, and an amazing view of Maalaea Bay and the West Maui Mountains provide a place to fully release the chill of early mountain air. Delicious coffee that flowed freely as we waited just a short while for the "Upcountry Quiche" Breakfast Plate continued our warm up. Hands down, this is the BEST QUICHE I've ever eaten, and the Banana Bread is exquisite! Three things that made a wonderful memory of our day: Experience, Place, Food.

We drove an hour from Kaanapali to have lunch at the Kula Lodge, and it was such a unique and memorable experience! Our family of five loved the stunning views from the restaurant, even though it was a bit foggy. We also took some beautiful family photos in the lush greenery surrounding the area.

The food was delicious! We enjoyed the French onion soup topped with an incredible puff pastry, the mahi-mahi salad (though the fish was slightly dry), the pork and pineapple pizza, the turkey cranberry sandwich, and the chicken and waffles.

The menu offered a great variety of options, but the highlight of our visit was definitely the breathtaking views!

Kula Restaurant is such a nice place to stop in and have dinner. They have excellent views of the sunset, the food is delicious and service is top notch. Everyone is so friendly and kind. We had live music tonight via violin too which was such a nice and romantic addition. I had the fresh catch of the day with was Ono and my husband had the Ribeye steak.

Definitely recommend making reservations as it does fill up quickly but they do accept walk-ins as well.

We were there for Happy Hour. Seating is next to the bar. Plenty of choices including pizzas for $18. Mai Tai was strong and good. The spicy Tuna was very fishy for some reason. The waitress immediately took it back and we replaced with bruschetta which was tasty. Also has the BBQ pizza and Mushroom pizza. Bbq pizza had a slightly spicy sauce. Mushroom pizza had a nice delicate taste. Both were good. Endamame hummus was also tasty with some flavor of tamarind. Service was good and fast

If you’re heading to the Haleakala summit, be sure to stop here for a meal. The restaurant seating offers a great view of the West Maui mountains.

It’s not just about the view—the food is good too. I tried the Hawaiian omelette, while my wife had the Upcountry quiche. Both dishes were delicious, with the quiche being crunchy on the sides and soft in the center. The portions were very filling, so we took a walk near the restaurant to admire the beautiful location and burn off some of the meal.
