So much fun! Saili was very intelligent and we loved learning from him! His story, faith and testimony was inspirational! The vanilla smells so good! Yum! We loved planting the vanilla plant to take home! Amazing experience! A must-experience family-friendly activity! 🥰❤️

I can’t say enough great things about the tour at Laie Vanilla Company. You get to spend the afternoon with the owner as he walks you through the process of growing, hand pollinating and processing the beans. He really great guy, loved hearing his stories. I learned so many things, and found it all very interesting! The farm itself is beautiful and enjoyable to walk through and take pictures. The plants grow in shade so it’s shady but it is a bit humid but not uncomfortable. At the end of the tour we were given cutting to grow our own vanilla bean vine, and were taught how to care for the plant. Honestly, a great way to spend your afternoon!! Grabbed a vanilla extract kit they sell down the road, a perfect way to remember this beautiful day!! Highly highly recommend it!!

I had no idea what a tour of a vanilla farm would be. We were met by the owner and he took us inside and explained every little detail about vanilla and the plants. It was so much fun and it was very educational. Saili, is very passionate about his vanilla bean crop and it shows by the pride in his face. I would highly highly recommend taking a tour. Definitely a five star visit. We will be going back again.

Saili was so amazing! I ended up being the only person for the tour today, so it ended up being such a great private tour! I don’t doubt it would have been any less amazing with others, but I loved the one on one! I learned so much about vanilla and how it’s cared for/grown. I have been making vanilla extract for a year now and was super excited to check Laie Vanilla out. After talking with Saili, I realized I’ve actually used their vanilla already, but didn’t know it was from them! Such a cool all around experience! I was shown how to pollinate the vanilla flowers and that was such a cool experience! I love being able to help contribute to keeping this vanilla farm running and the new vanilla growing! I was sent home with lots of goodies that I can’t wait to use. You’re sent home with a vanilla clipping to plant at home and I can’t wait to get home and get it going! I’ll be using my new vanilla beans (after they cure) and using some Kō Hana Rum that I bought from the distillery to make a special blend of vanilla extract! Thanks again for such a fun time and teaching me so many cool facts!

The whole experience of visiting the vanilla farm to learning about how vanilla beans were grown was memorable. I had the lovely pleasure of talking with the owner's wife and her whole family. My friend who was visiting from the mainland also came along and really enjoyed the experience. We took home a vanilla bean cutting with roots already grown! And snagged some actual vanilla beans. Just like their vanilla beans, the folks that run them are also Grade A 🤙🏼

The vanilla farm tour was the highlight of my first Hawaii trip. I love plants and I took a chance to check our some nurseries in Hawaii. I found this farm on Google and they do a tour so we went and it was a great experience. We learned all about the vanilla orchid. I actually get to hand pollinate a vanilla orchid. You also get to bring home a cutting so you can grow your own vanilla orchid. Thank you Saili & Abby for your hospitality. We love your farm and the products you have. I definitely recommend this experience if you’re in Oahu.
