We had such a fantastic experience at Lilah’s! We drive all the way from North Texas just to come here. Pictured (from January 2024) is our strawberry & Bavarian king cake—it was absolutely divine. Not only is this the best and freshest king cake we’ve ever had, but I’d say it’s one of the best desserts in general!

The staff was so warm and welcoming to my family and me. The selection of flavors on the shelves was incredible! The three of us couldn’t wait—we indulged right there in the parking lot, just digging right in. We also brought a cake back for my husband’s coworkers, and they were all pleasantly surprised by how amazing it was.

I wish I had taken a picture of the inside of the cake—it was super fresh and generously filled! I know there are a lot of options out there for king cakes, but Lilah’s truly does an outstanding job.

I highly recommend them! Not sure why there are any sour reviews—sometimes, it’s best to experience something for yourself if you feel drawn to it. We’re excited to pick up another king cake tomorrow!

Taste and quality of the cakes not worth the price. Customer service leaves very much to be desired. Wouldn’t recommend spending your money here.

This place recommends pre-ordering cakes ahead, though they say they try to keep a variety of flavors ready at all times. We first tried to order online but any of the kinds we wanted to try in sizes that weren’t too huge all said “out of stock”… how can something that’s supposed to be made-to-order out of stock and unavailable for pre-order We called instead and were able to order the size and flavor we wanted over the phone, they didn’t ask for any payment, and told us it would be ready after 10am the following day. The next morning we even called to confirm our order before driving over there. When I walked in the store, the person behind the counter immediately asked my name in an apprehensive way that told me something wasn’t quite right. They simply hadn’t bothered to make the cake we ordered and also didn’t bother to tell us that when we had called to confirm even though they were clearly aware of the issue prior to me walking into the store. When I asked why our cake hadn’t been made when we had ordered it ahead, she shrugged and offered no explanation, clearly didn’t know or care. Appalling customer service.

Ended up buying the same flavor in the next size up because we had driven all the way over there to try a king cake anyway. Not sure if that cake had been made that morning or if it was older. As some of the other reviews I’ve now read have also speculated, it’s unclear whether the non-preordered cakes they have available for purchase are fresh or not… This was our first ever king cake so we could not compare to any past experience or have any idea what a truly good king cake should be. However, we did not enjoy it at all. There was little to no flavor, just overwhelming sweetness (would not recommend the pralines and cream flavor for this reason for sure). The cake was dry and tough. There wasn’t enough cream filling to add much moisture nor was there enough frosting on top. The frosting might have been smooth but just too sweet, but the smooth texture was ruined by the excessive amount of sugar on top, making the whole thing unpleasantly grainy. This experience left us wondering if we ever want to try a king cake again from anywhere.

Tried this place on a personal recommendation so didn’t pay much attention to the reviews… we should have.

Yesterday I morning bought a strawberry cream cheese and i have been looking forward to eating it ALL DAY. finally sat down to eat it, and let me just say that it’s the most incredible thing I have ever eaten in my life. & I have had king cakes from every king cake place in the Shreveport area and this has beat all of them by far.

The absolute BEST king cake I’ve ever had!! So fresh, not dry at all, the BEST flavor!! We got the Cinnamon and Cream Cheese and will be back soon for more flavors! Definitely worth the 3 hour drive for us. 100000/10 recommend!

Soooo I came & got a bavarian king cake & it might just be the best king cake I have ever had!!! The bread part tasted incredible; the filling was thick and abundant!!! It was so heavenly 🤤 I bought it this morning — it’s gone now.
I’m going tomorrow for another one, maybe a different flavor (there’s SO MANY) 🤗

Picked up two king cakes from Lilah’s yesterday. One was cream cheese and the other was a blueberry cream cheese. Both were stale and looked over cooked. Also both had very little filing. The filing is what makes a king cake good. I’ve had to put both of these in the microwave just to make them edible. I have bought from Lilah’s in the past and they were delicious but these two were terrible. If I lived in Shreveport I would have returned them. Will not be back.

Thr worst King cake I have ever had....dry....no filling. Went in the trash. Should of brought up there ans asked for my $30 back. I posted about it on my Facebook and About 15 of my friends commented they had the same thing this year and last year with a lilahs king cake so yeah I'm not going back. I posted a review on their Facebook page too a week ago and they have ignored me so far

I ordered my king cake after seeing their online ad. DISAPPOINTED to say the least. When I ordered I was only given express delivery options. I was ok with the 2 day delivery option which was the least expensive. My cake was supposed to arrive on Wednesday 2/26 however didn’t arrive until Saturday 3/1. It was very dry and tasteless. I DONT RECOMMEND Lilahs bakery. You may regret it as I do..
