What a lovely historical place, with even lovelier folks running it. Our tour guide Ellen was friendly and has a true passion, and the owner was extremely gracious to us as well.

Highly recommend stopping by the Lockerly Arboretum for a tour while in Milledgeville!

The grounds were lovely, so much to see and very relaxing. As you can tell from the photos- this place is rich in history, gorgeous, and shouldn’t be passed up!

Perfect place for a day trip. Very peaceful and scenic. Great place for birdwatching. Do not forget to visit the Woods Museum! Will definitely be back to tour the mansion. There is a donation box in the parking lot next to the informational display.

I went to Lockerly Arboretum yesterday. I was wonderfully thought out with walking and driving trails. I missed the Christmas lights this year but will definitely be back in the spring to see what's blooming. Actually be back every season to see what's going on. Great job everyone!!

A few weeks ago while out enjoying a beautiful day, we stumbled upon this beautiful mansion. While the home itself was closed, we were able to walk around the property. The home is stunning! I can only imagine the parties, birthdays, Christmas celebrations and family weddings this house has seen since it was first built. An outdoor gem of Milledgeville! The trails are always well-maintained even though they are not super long. There is a cute pond in the middle. Definitely check the hours before you go, though, because they are somewhat limited. I love walking here and driving through the holiday lights!
