This is one of the best nurseries I have ever been to. Truly a hidden gem tucked in between the gorgeous farmlands of Sonoma county?

I'll admit I may be a little biased since they seem to specialize in the kind of stuff I personally am most interested in? but for any other succulent and bonsai enthusiasts out there definitely keep this place bright on your radar if you're ever passing through the historic gravenstein highway just south of Sebastopol?

What makes this place stand out to me especially is that they propagate their stock in house? They have a few greenhouses packed full of gorgeous, some even more rare plants, and plenty more blocked off from customers with even more stock that they rotate out throughout the year. Just peeking in I could see such amazingly grown succulents just waiting for their time to soak in the sunshine of your garden/collection?

I feel so lucky to have moved just up the street from here. I'll have to do my best to pace myself? but even just coming through and admiring the rows upon rows of vibrant bonsais in such pleasing plantings will have you leaving so inspired and filled with love for beautiful plants?

I had met the owner of Lone Pine at a Bonsai show in Oakland and of course I’ve seen and purchased their plants before at nurseries. When I met him previously he was so helpful and informative to me as well as to the other people who were at his booth. I am very happy to say that the same hospitality and genuine love of what he does comes through and is on full display at his home where his business lives. My boyfriend had previously been to this property and talked very highly of it and I knew that it was someplace I had to go. Driving up there can be a little bit of an experience you go down a small road onto a kind of a dirt driveway but it was very easy to find good signage everywhere we just use Google maps. There were a fair number of people for a weekend day but not something that we felt it was overcrowded and the owner came around and checked on us and answered as many questions as we had in the various greenhouses...I don’t know how many there are there must be eight or more on the property at least...

Some of the things I appreciated were that the vast majority probably 98% or more of the plants are labeled with their name and a price or fall in to the standard pricing categories that they have based on the size of the pot. They also have a very nice selection of bonsai pots available as well as some really cool handmade pottery from local and other artists. And they have a huge variety of various plants Cacti, succulent and bonsai available in various states of growth from little 2 inch pots all the way up until specimen sizes that are ready for a landscaping project or to be on full display in your yard.

I do wish that the green houses were numbered or something because I feel like I missed some plants or I forgot what greenhouse I was in when I saw a cool plant...but I’m pretty sure that things change so rapidly there that it probably would be pointless because itd change within a month or two. The owner said,I believe he has over 8000 plants on property at any given time.

If you were a plant lover if you do bonsai, cactus or succulents you have to check this place out it’s amazing and the owner is probably one of the most friendly, warm and welcoming people I’ve ever met in this industry. If I could give 10 stars I would give it 10 stars and I definitely will be back

What a really amazing nursery! There is everything from succulents to bonsai and the place is huge. We had a lot of fun browsing and selecting our plants to take home. Definitely worth checking out if you love plants!

Umm, am I not supposed to tell anyone about this place? Why don't they show up when you search for "bonsai", even though I will almost certainly never buy from anywhere else again!

Fantastic field grown trees of all ages and price ranges, grown with excellent form, beautiful nebari, and clearly a ton of expertise. And at excellent prices.

If you live anywhere in NorCal, there is no need to go anywhere but this place for your trees.
