We visited this restaurant for dinner on a weekend. It's a beautiful spot with good ambiance and a bar. The food was mediocre—Mexican cuisine should be full of flavors and spices, but here it was rather bland. We enjoyed the soft taco, but the crispy taco and tostada were disappointing. The fish taco was smelly, and the carnitas lacked juiciness and flavor. If you're craving Mexican food in Mendo, you can give it a try, but keep your expectations in check.

Food was excellent. The garlic prawns? Impeccable. We destroyed our respective platters with ease. The water is good. The service? Okay. Perhaps not well staffed and very busy due to the good food, but our servers were kind. Maybe not great if you're in a rush, but if you can take the time to dine this is an easy recommendation.

Flautas plate was definitely different in appearance, but it was crispy and delicious. Chips and salsa were great, and I couldn't pass up the bottled root beer. The servers were friendly and attentive, even though they were very busy.

I have eaten at Los Gallitos many times and have always been pleased. With a full bar, ice cold beer or a tasty Margarita makes any meal better. You will need a couple if you order the Camarones Diablo. Plenty of perfectly cooked shrimp drenched in a super spicey sauce. The burritos are huge and full of flavor. The beans and rice that come with all entrees are sure to please your taste buds. Everything from tacos to steaks with specials everyday and night except Thursday when they are closed. You will enjoy the authentic decor with super comfortable chairs. With reasonable prices located in the heart of downtown Fort Bragg, California, you can't go wrong.

The food was on point the taco meat had a good flavor the tortillas were soft and warm, I did have a problem with the services our server didn't come to check on us and when we asked for something our server would forget to grab it for us, The atmosphere was a little heavy one of the servers was just mean mugging us badly

Extremely tasty, authentic Mexican food! We stayed in Fort Bragg for one night on a road trip up the Pacific Coast and had seen this place beforehand thanks to its strong reviews. It certainly lived up to it..!

We're a family of seven and the staff here were really engaging with the kids, helping them get to grips with the menu. Some of the kids weren't convinced about Mexican food before we went here, but safe to say we had clear plates all around as everyone loved the food. The crispy tacos are just the best.

Highly recommended - great value, nice location near to the main highway with convenient parking across the street.
