Love the strawberries! Talked a while with the owner (older gentleman in the tent). He was very nice and explained his entire method for strawberry farming, including his preference for avoiding chemical pesticides and using organic methods. He also talked about his blueberries and pecans, which also are pesticide-free. Really loved this farm, and hope to be back for blueberry picking season!

We went picking strawberries today. Besides the older gentleman under the tent (maybe the owner) NEVER acknowledging us nor saying hi, he decided to change the price of $20/bucket to $25/bucket despite all signage saying $20. The gentleman couldn't care less we were there and spent his time translating into his phone a Spanish conversation for his workers (or guests). Don't let all the signs fool you. That being said, the strawberries taste good. But, being in Alabama, they need to do better at being honest and not ripping off families just going out for a Saturday outing.

April 6th start of strawberry season at Lyon Farm. Picked 2 gallons today. They were big & ready for picking.
Went here last year. Came back this year. Plenty of blueberries available mid June to about mid July.

This is an awesome place with the best blueberry you can imagine. The blueberry only costs $15 a gallon. We also picked juiciest tomatoes from this farm. The owner of the farm is a nice and generous guy who guides and helps with picking the fruit and shares his information. I'd definitely visit this farm in my next visit to Birmingham.

Great little farm, a beautiful scenic drive to get there. JT the owner is super nice and genuine about everyone having a great time. My gf and I went there one morning to pick blueberries for a pie we made later.

We really enjoyed our visit and picked sweet and very tasty blueberries. The owner is very friendly and cool guy. A fun time was had by all and we sure will be back!

Nice place to pick a couple gallons of blueberries. Bushes were in good shape and easy to get to. Bring a hat! Blueberries need sun and these bushes are out in it.
