I love this shopping center I remember when it used to be Cornets long ago. I used to work at the liquor store ohana's when pops and mama used to run it and now they have the best plate lunches if you like local kind grinds. Makaha marketplace is like the last stop to go to the beach & it's growing new shops or local businesses are always showing Aloha they've got O'Reilly's and Longs drugs now and even a Papa John's Pizza of course the Chinese takeout has been there forever but I miss our thrift shop treasure chest You have to travel down the road they're still in business Good luck to all the people that have businesses here It's hard nowadays with everything so expensive but some things are worth it when you know who owns it you like give them the business Tell all your friends too You got to watch these real estate people though they're looking at this town differently and it's not good short-term vacation rentals unmonitored it is driving everybody out but it's not really talked about But they need to be monitored because they are driving the Aloha spirit out and Hawaiians not in Hawaii will not be Hawaii🏝🌺

My instructions were, “Brent, go out and get beer - but you must bring back Modelo Especial, you are the only one capable of this task!”

So I did a search for “beer” and found this place (the first place I found didn’t have Modelo Especial, so I kept driving).

I must say, the clientele in this place were quite “interesting” and “full of character” to say the least. If I had the time, I would have probably hung out for hours just to be entertained.

All of the beer freezers were locked and you have to request access - and for good reason - really sketchy people from the beach across the street.

They also have a decent selection of grocery items if you need to pick up something quick.

We stopped in here on our last trip to Oahu in Nov. I always make a trip to the west side to Waianae and Pokai Bay. This time we decided to stop and shop at this shop. We shopped at both of the shops owned by this establishment in this center. They have great shirts, sweatshirts and other things to buy. Very friendly employees, and very welcoming. We will definitely stop and shop again on our next visit. Mahalo

Supported by a Long's/CVS store. This mall is the LAST retail option in the West. Many eateries, a liquor store & an O' Reily auto parts store is featured as well

This is a LAST STOP, when deciding to travel further westward into Makaha. There are no stores or gas stations west of this marketplace, so be aware and stop at one of the store businesses in this marketplace or across the street (Makaha Valley Rd.)to purchase food, plate lunches, treats/desserts, drinks, ice, gas and/or anything else you would need for the day because there are no stores or gas stations once you go past this marketplace heading westward.
