Great selection of honey and mead available for purchase. Chris was very knowledgeable and engaging, which made the experience memorable. Nice to be able to sample the honey. Unfortunately we came on a Thursday, so we weren't able to do the mead tasting. Beautiful set up and ambiance.

Excellent hidden gem. The honey and the mead are both superb. My favorite thing was probably the conversation with the employees. They are knowledgeable about the process and so friendly. I’ve tried a lot of meads and they have some of the best. Great balance of flavors & all natural ingredients. Seriously, if you come to Oahu Hawaii and don’t stop in, you’re missing out.

Gotta keep this gem in mind next time I'm on the island. Tucked away on some side streets is some of the best mead I've ever had. Planning to order some once I get back to the mainland (they ship both mead and honey)!

Jourdin was an excellent host. Very attentive. Very informative. She will keep your [water] glass full and tell you all the tasting notes and history about each of the meads you try. The honey & cheese box is also an excellent spread curated and prepared fresh by your host.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Mahalo!

My husband and I passed out jars of honey to the guests at our wedding and it was a huge hit! We ordered a variety of the flavors so everyone was able to try something different and we received so many compliments. People were excited to receive something local, yet meaningful. Honey and bees are truly a passion of mine and Rob's, so we were excited to take home a beautiful souvenir to remember our special day. All of the flavors were so delicious and fresh. My bridesmaids and I also picked up a bottle of mead to share and it was amazing! Truly an experience we will never forget!

Tucked away, chill vibe, hometown feel. Farm to glass. Meads ranged from dry to semi sweet. Very well done. The meads are filtered so they will last if you want to take them on your trip home to share at a later date.

Such a great value and experience! I didn't want to leave.

What a charming spot and perfect experience to top off our Oahu girls' weekend! Mānoa is off the tourist beaten path in a quaint local neighborhood — you might even think you're lost when you first get here. But rest assured: You're in the right spot and in for a treat.

If you don't have advance reservations, walk-in tastings are first-come, first-serve and quite affordable. We chose the flight du jour and added a few additional options from the full menu. Each portion was plenty for 1-3 people to share, depending on how much you want to drink. There are many great flavors to choose from, but all showcase the bright, clean taste of Mānoa's locally raised honey.

All of the staff we met were really friendly and knowledgeable. The gift shop features a DIY honey tasting bar so you can sample every version of sweetness they carry. (I did literally try every single one!) Everything is extremely affordable, especially considering how labor-intensive both mead and honey can be. Packaging is classy and makes for wonderful gifts.

The honey is harvested on-site (although the bees are elsewhere, so you don't need to worry about stings!) and the mead is also fermented and processed at this very location. If you ask nicely, they may even give you a little site tour so you can see where the magic happens.

If you want the full hive-to-meadery tour experience, Mānoa also offers a "Bees to Mead" tour that takes you from the Honey House (slash mead tasting location) to their local apiary where you'll get to see the bees that make your sweet treats. Once the tour returns to the Honey House, you'll get to refresh yourself with six craft meads and a complementary cheese and fruit plate. We didn't have enough time to take this tour this trip, but I definitely want to come back for it!

All of the meads are SO good and really well priced across the board for a taster, a flight, or a bottle. I thought I was being misled by my navigation because it seemed a little ways back in a neighborhood but once i pulled up I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed my afternoon there! They have lots of umbrellas and awnings so the rain doesn’t even stop you from enjoying your time there. Dog friendly! Definitely recommend! Their hours and seating are limited, and parking is minimal but that kind of adds to the allure of the place knowing you won’t be fighting a crowd.
