Specials take a while, so don’t come if you’re in a hurry. You come in, you order, get a beeper and get out to sit outside. No bathrooms so be warned beforehand. The food is good, no fuss, some of the best Mac salad I’ve ever had on Kauai, the potatoes were such a good addition. Outside is cute because we ate with chickens wandering around our feet, but that is the norm after all haha. I got the loco moco, my husband got their specialty mix lunch plate. It was a lot of food! Unless you’re sharing, I’d recommend getting the mini.

This place already has 1,000 reviews and it’s rated so highly so they probably don’t need my review but I’m gonna do one anyways. They had Grilled Hamachi Collars with ponzu and lemon with Marlin Poke as a special the day I went there and it was incredible (pictured). The portions were huge and the ratings are correct. This place is amazingly good. The restaurant is located in an industrial park and looks like they serve lots of workers in the area. They have some wooden tables outside with umbrellas and there’s lots of crazy chickens running around. Don’t feed the chickens chicken!

This place is so good, it’s such a hidden gem! Tucked away in an industrial area, they have a really homey selection of hawaiian plates and treats. I got the Beef Stew plate and it was divine! Flavor is on point with the addition of the mac salad and rice. The staff were so sweet and caring, they were working hard! I also tried the Butter Mochi which was delicious, not too sweet and pleasant texture. I’m sad they aren’t in the mainland but I will be back next time ❤️

This place is a hidden gem! Plate lunch served here is divine. We ordered Mark’s famous mixed plate that comes with beef stew, teriyaki beef, chicken katsu, rice and macaroni potato salad - highly recommended. We also ordered spam masubi which had a nice umami taste.

This place has decent outdoor seating space where you can peacefully enjoy lunch!

We got the mixed place and this really felt like perfection on Hawaiian staples. Best Mac salad I’ve ever had, my fiance felt it was the best chicken katsu she has ever had.

Best Hawaiian BBQ I’ve had on three islands (Oahu, Maui, and Kauai). Mark’s serves hot a fresh bbq with an edge of char that’s hard to replicate. The teriyaki chicken comes with a nice glaze, the katsu was hot and crispy and the Mac salad is on point. The desserts include several pies and are a nice treat, if you save room.

Mark’s is located in the industrial area in Lihue and serves up hot food for a lot of hard working folks. If you find your way there, you’ll be sharing your table with a mix of locals, tourists, and of course, the Kauai chickens!

Decent Mom-N-Pop food joint. I got the "Sample Platter" which had homemade stew, chicken and teriyaki beef with rice. I was impressed with the stew and the chicken was decent. Large serving...had leftovers. My wife had the hamburger and she said it was great. Decent food at a fair price. I'd go back.
