Perfect location, mostly just local people and service.
Sometimes really long line of people to check out in three counters. Happy to see calm workers doing their job.
Since it's Japanese looking store, I stopped by to see if I can buy good quality Sesame oil.

My only suggestion to the store is "try to make or supply some healthy affordable food to locals".

Love, love, love this store.. Great selection, ono food.. Customer service is hit or miss. Tried calling to see if they something, not once, or twice but 3 times someone answered said "let me check" then proceeded to hang up on me.. 50% of the time the customer service is exceptional! The other 50% it is meh.. I still highly recommend this store! Just dont call to see if they have something.. Lol

Hidden little gem on the way to waiakaloa near Puu lani ranch. The small kitchen kicks out THE FRESHEST & BEST local food at a great price!! They make deluxe burgers, loco moco, poke, poke nachos, bentos, and great snacks. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must stop at place while in Kailua Kona!

I haven't been here yet. I just moved here but all of these 1 star reviews need be dismissed. This is a neighborhood market in a very remote town and part of the world. It is a blessing for the community and we should all be grateful, always.

Came to grab a couple of Korean chicken bentos for the long flight back to the mainland. What a delightful find and especially Uncle Chad's Sweet potato cream mochi. We didn't make it to Two Sisters in Hilo but Uncle Chad's certainly filled the bill. We'll certainly come here to Matsuyama's the next time to the Big island.

Very unhappy looking produce at unreasonable prices, hot food looked like cafeteria/fast food/food truck creations. Pre-packaged food, why would we pay the same price for a cold premade food when we can get infinitely tastier lunch specials made fresh at the Japanese/Asian restaurants in town 5.3 miles away? The few bakery items looked stale and unappetizing. Pint of Haagen Daaz is almost $9.

Location is terrible & dangerous, along a super busy road. We were told "no restrooms for customers" , only for employees.

Would not shop at. Ever. Prefer KTA, Costco, Walmart, Target, Safeway, Sack n Save, basically anywhere but this "market".

Please place a chain here, H-Mart. Not just in Oahu.

Food from the kitchen (not talking about the pizza place) was excellent. Took about 10 minutes to cook our chicken katsu and it was well worth the wait, if you can withstand the atmosphere of the place. Don't let the looks of this typical "gas food" looking place fool you. The macaroni salad was very unique and tasty. Price was fair, for the food, but in the end it was from a gas station. Worth trying!
