This is the visitor center of the world-largest Macadamia nut farm on earth. We visited the nice store and bought some of the delicious and healthy nuts. They offer a wide variety of Macadamias, salted, chocolate covered and much more. The Royal Hawaiian Orchards are worth a visit too. There is plenty of free parking right in front of the visitor center.

A neat stop to learn the history of the nut on the island. They also have a little garden area you can wander around and take pictures of some beautiful shrubs, trees and flowers. But the best part is the tasting of lots of varieties of nuts. We bought way too many varieties lol.

It's a nice stop. Most shop with nuts and nut merchandise with a couple things from other vendors thrown in, and also ice cream. There are 3 short videos taking visitors thru growing, production, and packaging. My favorite part was our walk thru the garden, and their beautiful variety of flora.

A small visitor's center with a shop and a nature path. The macadamia nut ice cream bar with Kona coffee, covered in chocolate and nuts is worth the stop alone! Otherwise, not a whole lot to see. Tip for anyone who is driving - when you turn off the road at the sign for the Visitor's center, it feels like a long drive to get there because there aren't any other signs. However, keep going and you'll know when you have arrived. As long as you have macadamia nut trees next to you, you are headed in the right direction.

They are mostly just trying to sell you macadamia nut products. However, the drive through the macadamia tree orchard is pretty cool.
They cater to tour bus groups, so if you happen to be there when one arrives, the place gets absolutely mobbed.
The nature walk with some local plants and fruits is kind of cool, though.

ALMOST EVERY PRODUCT SOLD HERE CAN BE FOUND AT WALMART WAY CHEAPER!!!

Warning! This is not a "Visitor Center!" It's an astronomically overpriced tourist trap with zero aloha that I highly recommend you skip! Free samples? When you walk in, a girl will barely stop looking at her phone long enough to throw a tiny cup with 3 microscopic nuts at you. And that's it! Refreshments? Haha! There is a free water cooler in the back. I was willing to pay $4 for a cup of coffee, but they only make it once daily at 10 am and it was 10:30, so all gone. And after I spent $140 on their products, they actually had the nerve to ask me to pay 15¢ for a bag to put it in! Seriously Although I was there on a weekday, no one was working in the factory, so nothing to see there. And their "Nature Walk" was a sadly neglected joke.

In summary, this is not a factory outlet or discount store and there is no real reason to visit. I highly recommend going to Walmart where they sell all the same products and will probably treat you better.

I love Mauna Loa nuts. And after having taken tours of other manufacturers, like the Lavaloha Chocolate farm, or Kona coffee farms we were excited to see how the big boys do it! But they don't.

There is one little gift shop with nothing in it you can't get at Walmart cheaper. And there are literally 2 windows you can look through in one very small factory building.

Seriously, do NOT waste your time visiting. It will make you sad and negatively impact your perception of the brand.

The company could learn a LOT from the other companies that it dwarfs about how to treat visitors. They could be charging $30-50 to really offer something people would pay for and least a lot, training them into brand ambassadors, while actually earning revenue.

Alas, it's a missed opportunity for all.

Really nice opportunity to visit location of the most well-known macadamia brand in all of U.S. attractive, clean, well-displayed facility. Video of process, conveniently viewed on covered patio was in-depth and explained price point of this treasured delicacy well. Loved the nature walk (please replace missing signage). Perky staff. Loved the variety of products for sale.
